"Canned" Presentation or Not

Sure wish someone would get our President on a script... He has been speaking live on FOX News and has chased so many rabbits and squirrels it is painful to listen to.

At one time I was getting another industry magazine I really liked that's been out of circulation for many years. (I'm not remembering the name of it, but it was published in Louisville if anybody else remembers.) One feature I really liked in that magazine was their monthly insertion of an article from the early days of the publication. I always found those old articles interesting, entertaining, and enlightening.

I think he is ADD at times. Reminds me of my youngest. But I am tiered of well scripted liars... give me some plain talk... and then walk the talk.

Just a quick pole question here... how many of you guys use visual aids when you are presenting?

Rouse got me thinking after I read through some of the article he posted. We live in a picture driven world, but it seems to me as we mature in this profession we use fewer and fewer visual prompts and tend to lean more on the use of verbal persuasion.

Could it be that perhaps we might (I mean me) might be missing the boat when it comes to the good use of imagery? I use a talk pad (clean sheet of paper) and have things I always write down but after reading the article and thinking about how I started in the this business its got me wondering?

Your professional thoughts?
