Climate Change

I cannot ignore that pretty much every climate change prediction has failed to come true. All their models predicted doom and gloom. CA was suppose to be underwater in the 2000's according to Gore. All their catastrophic predictions failed to come true and weren't remotely close.

Also, if climate change were to happen as they suggest, then most coastal real estate would be underwater. The Obamas just this week bought a 12 million dollar estate in Martha's Vineyard that would be underwater if their predictions came true. Funny how they do that when they advocate for climate change. This very property would be underwater if the predictions came true. Newsflash, they don't (none of the climate change people) don't believe the "predictions".

Why does no bank or financial institution or any investor avoid investing in projects in areas that will be under water (if the predictions are true). Insurance companies too.

No investor or insurer even provides a disclaimer about the pending doom and gloom.

Lastly, check this. How could you not love this guy.

best video Ive watched in a while.

Just a heads up for anyone else. There is some foul language in there. Glad my 4 year old daughter was a sleep when I watched it

Can someone explain to me why climate change is a partisan issue?

It exists whether or not we are here but humans certainly have an effect.

I just don't get why it is something that's political.

Because Humans dont have an effect on the climate. To think that we do, is the peak of arrogance.

It is political because if it has a human cause then presumably we could change its course by changing the behaviors causing it. However, all legislation has a cost. As has typically been the case, the right thinks we shouldn't spend a dime on anything and the left thinks we should tax every last nickel because we're smart enough to come up with the solution even when we are not.

Climate change is real.

If not caused by human activity it has most certainly been accelerated by industrialization.

We will likely never know if we could have changed its course because it is unlikely we will ever be able to put the resources into effecting change that would now be required. That ship likely sailed 25 years ago or more.

But here is the good news: The earth will abide. We will not, contrary to the what those on the left fear, destroy the earth.

I know this to be true.

How?

Because we are far more fragile than this third rock from the sun. First we will make the earth uninhabitable, and effectively cause our own extinction. Once we're gone, the earth will heal itself, as nature always does. Have you ever seen how quickly an abandoned industrial property goes to seed?

So everyone can relax.

Just as soon as the last human dies out, the earth will begin the glorious process of healing itself. And probably within a thousand years or less, God will reach down, dip his finger in the ocean, and monkey will crawl from beneath the waves, take to the trees, and start stirring things up quicker than Trump can spell Pocahontas.

Let me specify what I meant (sometimes I forget the type of people I am talking to), "Man-Made Climate Change" is a loony-bin conspiracy theory that only the lowest IQ and most gullible individuals believe.

This thread belongs in the trash. Or at the very least, in the "Non-insurance" section of the forum.

Yet you continue to post on the thread and push it to the top. Good job.:twitchy:

This definitely spiraled out of control, I just wanted to know with the suspected increase in claims for commercial insurance if I should endeavor in it or not.

Glaciers melted millions of years ago to form the Great Lakes.
Just ask my gal Sal on the Erie Canal!
