Really?

I rememebr when I first started, I had to call in to humaman and do 3 way call, it would add near hour to each call

sometimes they would be super rude and you would have to hang up and call back again

sometimes the prospect got offended at something

sometimes there was a misunderstanding and the call would be ended by humana

sometimes and this would be the worst, you would have a client ready on the phone and NO ONE was available to pick up the call

What do you think nov will be like if they are taking call for both Medicare and ACA??

the likely outcome is more people using Medicare direct for enrolments and less people using agents

the only agents that will do ok with this are the large call centers that have the bandwidth to deal with it

Im not out there to switch peoples MAPDs. During AEP I might move 20 of my MAPD clients.

If this rule happened with MAPD we wouldn’t have to worry about our clients getting conned into switching plans for no reason. And, I’m only moving 10 or so people that are not currently my clients to a new MAPD.

Chazm I know what you had in the past . I’ll be very curious how many you have to move this yr . My United rep told me today there pulling out of some countys and non renewing some plans . I think you’ll have no choice but to move a good many
 
Just tried to term plan for ACA client that I am the aor on. Both sherpa and double redirect gave me error messages. Client has to call MP. Lovely

I highly doubt your rep is referring to FL. We have two main plans with UHC MAPD, their HMO and their PPO. It’s not going anywhere here. I am going to their plan rollout here in town on 8/26. I’ll find out all the deets then.

Chazm what you’re not taking into account are these carriers plans profitable . How big you are or how much business you’re doing means little if you’re losing money on the plans . You keep bringing up Fla . Those plans have been so good for so long carriers might be losing money . We’ll all know in a month

Don, in 2009 their PPO had a $15 pcp copay and a $50 specialists, $5,900 MOOP and people still signed up with their PPO.
The plan here wont get close to that bad next year. Why would they get rid of the plan? They can just raise the copays. You don’t realize how big they are here

Your doing T65 seminars, why would you have this issue, but if you were marketing people shopping, AND this year is ripe for that

Most off those people will already be on a plan HUGE difrence

When I used to get good leads, I would close sometimes 7 or more in a single day,

and the 7th one time I did well over 10 deals

I would NEVER be able to do that if there were long wait times droped calls rude people answering the phone

The only people who win are people who ONLY work T65. Call Centers with high bandwidth

CMS who really wants the prospects to go to them anyway

And listen if that happens the business WILL shift more and more in that direction

That’s the key Chazm isn’t taking into account .All these last 4-5 yrs every company built a little on the plan yr to yr . When you called your client “ Mrs Jones your specialist copay dropped from $20 to $10 and your dental went up $500 . You been happy with your plan ? 95% if the time they’d say yes . Ok let’s stay put . In 2025 there could be vast vast differences in plans . Ests from research firms say as many as 90% of people could be shopping . No long term agent wants to flip his book . Stability yr to yr is what grows your renewals . If I’m spending almost all aep moving plans I’m not growing my book . Unfortunately this aep is going to be like that . Med sup agents will be grappling with massive rate increases and doubling of pdp premiums in some cases . Nobody’s going ti be happy the next yr . Agents , members or CO’s . We all do the best we can and what happens happens .
