Cold Calling Door Knocking for Final Expense

I still think this job is illegal. Seems too good to be true. I've wrote 20 policies in the past two weeks, and I still can't believe it every time a deposit hits. But they keep hitting so I got 58 leads for this week. Going to keep doing it until they stop paying me.

Where are you located. Plus I am going to be starting out and where do you buy your leads?

Dummy, I don't like cold door knocking. I'm all for door knocking somebody who initiated a call for action.

Get a second job and save money to buy leads. You think you are successful tell me what companies you write most of your business with? I can make two phone calls and verify? You are a hack and broke and try and convince yourself that showing up at people's house without a call for action makes you special.

You do it because you are to broke to buy leads.

I've seen you on here for 3 years. And in all that time I've never seen you post anything that would cause you to lose any respect from any forum member. Until today. With all the name calling and all the belittling you have done I think you've you lost some of that respect in at least some people's minds. You'll never know how many new agents will reconsider Fex as their upline after reading the way you have behaved today. I admit that many will work for those with the attitude you have, but there are some will go elsewhere without you ever knowing it.

So, go ahead and call me some more names. Think of some more ways to belittle me and all those like me that also door knock. I hope all this made you feel like a big man. I'm glad I was raised so as to not need to put others down to feel good about myself.

The funny thing I have only sold one policy to a "family member". My wife's father has an RNA term policy I wrote him. (Replaced a PrimAmerica) but that's it.... Most of my family really doesn't even understand what I do.

Funny story my late 90 year old grandmother asked me on time before she died if I was doing something "illegal"? She didn't understand how I was available a lot and my life style was changing drastically. Something I always laugh about.

I would rather not sell family a policy. My gparents are the only ones I've sold policies to...

Hilarious... are you sure you aren't a drug dealer?

Hi Jeff:

If you do well enough door-knocking, why not multiply your results or reduce your prospecting time by exchanging a little investment capital for more efficiency and a better net?

To qualify, I am not attempting to "challenge" your way of doing things (if it ain't broke don't fix it is how I'd look at it), but am more interested on why you choose to door knock cold over working leads, when the opportunity for gain is potentially higher working leads than the risk, especially for a tenured agent.

Jeff,

I am one of the biggest advocates on this forum for new agents. I have helped hundreds and hundreds of agents. Some new unsuspecting agent may see that you have over 2,000 post and mistakenly think you know something.

I am honest and real, to new agents. Working FE without leads is not the way to do it... If you want to live in a trailer court and work all the time than that may be an okay marketing method. You are the one who has lost respect here today. Don't assume that any agent today coming in this business today would be content at being in this business for three years and having a lot # attached to their address.

You should have kept your nose out of it, unless you would have fully disclosed the lifestyle that cold door knocking affords... This business is hard enough without some full time forum poster with an inflated number of post telling new agents about their perceived success by doing something that doesn't work for anyone, and would be unacceptable for an agent with a family and real expectations for success.

Trust me Jeff, I'm sure many of the FE guys on here feel the same way about your BS you spew... you whine all the time.

Spend some of that cigarette money on leads.

FINALLY!!!! I use to win it all the time... However with Gooner, John Galt, Rick, SIA, AgentGuy, JD, and others it has gotten very competitive... I thought I would never regain my Strap back!

This did make me laugh, seriously though, Why do you have to tear a guy down? If it works for him, who cares?

Do you really think that a new agent won't figure out in about an hour that cold calling sucks and look into buying leads? I doubt that Jeff's post will sway many minds.

maybe that's the problem with most new agents that come on here, they can't think for themselves.......
