Current Aged Domain Auctions

@ Shepnerd: The older the better, but it doesn't necessarily matter. One of the biggest things to consider when you're buying a domain is what the competition is like for the terms you're trying to rank for. You can save yourself the time and hassle of an EMD (exact match domain) is available and/or it's low competition. The domain is only one part of doing SEO and I'm not going to say it's the least important, but there are plenty of other factors that matter. Don't take my word for it though, google "life insurance". Do you see lifeinsurance.com anywhere on page one? Try that with a bunch of keywords. I look at that a lot more because I do a lot of keyword research every week, but a lot of times the EMD isn't usually at the top on anything competitive because so much other stuff goes into it.

Very interesting you noticed that. I just typed in healthinsurance.com and it's nowhere to be found when you Google "health insurance."

I do a lot of keyword research, probably check 50 search terms a week on the average (maybe more?), so I probably should have picked up on it sooner, but it's certainly interesting. One other thing I've noticed is that you can frequently see a young domain rank higher than an older domain, especially on older terms. The reality is that keyword research makes things much easier.

I will probably be adding a keyword research service that's going to be pretty cheap, like $29 or something like that to help see search volume and identify keywords that are vulnerable. It's amazing how much easier it is to try to rank in search engines when you're not flying blind.
