OK Here is what I would do. Contact the department of insurance in your state and ask them. STOP asking us. We won't be the ones forcing you to buy new business cards and signage and letterhead and fining you, they will be.

In my state it was not allowed per the OIC.. good enough for me. Your mileage may vary, but ask the people who can fine you if you get it wrong. And no, "but the guys on insurance forum told me I could..." works as an excuse. Good luck.

He needs to submit this in writing and ask for a written response. Or try his state AG office. Again and I don't know why this is hard for some, get permission from those who can fine you for doing it wrong. And written, not verbal.
