Did some door knocking yesterday... and then ate some bacon

No more then 2 or 3 packages of bacon or eggs have been brought into my house in the past 10 years. Leave the bacon alone you fools or enjoy your stints and heart attacks.

I don't know how many 9AM Medicare Supplement appointments I have ran over the years and ended up selling the guy a medicare supplement as he was consuming mega eggs and bacon as fast as his wife could cook them. When you walk out of those houses it quite often means you are looking at a short time client. You will have his wife 15 years from now but this guys going to be kicking the bucket in the next 5 or 10 years almost guaranteed.

I think you're missing this said person you're talking about has been doing this his entire life

Well, I just got back from the grocery store. I bought 27 pounds of bacon @ $3.49 a pound(that's all they had out) and I've got 2 pounds in the oven. I'm waiting for it to get done so I can get my bacon fix.

We should retitle this thread as The Bacon Thread.

Eggs are the only food that provides a human with a complete protein - every essential amino acid is found in one egg.

Overcoming three generations of "fat clogs the arteries" is going to be difficult, especially as the government is the primary disseminator of this myth. Except for research funded by vegan propaganda, current research is point towards diets high in processed carbs and added sugar as the prime cause of heart disease and arterial dysfunction. Of course, one should also be wary of research funded by the National Bacon Institute as well lol.

A vegetarian diet that excludes these foods will be a healthier diet that the standard americana diet which includes anything that fits down the gullet as long as it is salty and/or sweet. But a vegan diet requires supplements, specifically certain B vitamins that are only available in animal products.

But a diet of meat and fish and bacon and as many eggs as you can eat will be healthier than a vegan or vegetarian alternative so long as it too excludes processed carbs and sugars.

Are all carbs bad? No, certainly non-starchy vegetables can be part of healthy diet. And even processed white rice isn't necessarily bad for you if you are not already pre-diabetic and you do not eat a lot of sugars in addition to your rice. If I had not ruined the beta cells of my pancreas, I could still enjoy a meat and potatoes diet. It was the overconsumption of sugars that did my pancreas in, as it did those of hundreds of millions of others, including many reading this forum who are as yet unaware that they are indeed pre-diabetic.

How about cornbread. You have to put an egg in it.

What about brown rice?
