Does Anyone Want Multiple Carriers to Work with

Very good point Moonlight!

Do not trust anything a marketing company will tell you unless they will put it in writing on the front end.

It has been my experience that most marketing companies develop amnesia 6 months down the road........LOL

Why would marketing companies act like captive agencies and not give this release letter?

I use to work for an insurance agency back in the 1980's that paid us vs. the companies direct. It didn't work out very well for the agent....agency keeping my commissions.

Got to be the same scenario here.

Most marketing companies want you locked into their contracts, and most insurance companies will honor the marketing companies requests.

I have yet to understand this way of thinking. I personally put in WRITING a front end release for anyone that is doing business with my firm. I not only put this in writing for the individual but for their entire down line as well.

I can not tell you how many marketing companies I have spoken to that have tried to dscourage this way of thinking, and asked me to stop; like they have some control over what I do........

I personally want to deal with agents and organization that want to do business with me. If an agent becomes unhappy, let them go.

I have also found that if you are fair with compensation, and have a very clear upfront understanding of the relationship; then most agents will stay with you. I hope this helps.....

A most intelligent way to do business, imho.

Unfortunately, many marketing organizations are not so enlightened. All you have to do is read the posts by Alex from Network Marketing...

I have no problems with any of the marketers I go through.

There's one...ASI, that pays me for med-supp commissions and a Champ VA monthly renewal. I always get my money around the 20th.

All others are direct commissions with the companies.

I use to write AFLAC med-supps through Senior Market Sales and they were excellent too.

Parker and Associates sounds like an agency I went through in the 1980's. Different outfit...same BS.

The problem with Senior Market Sales is that they will not provide an upfront release in writing.

Guess they are believers in indentured servitude.

They gave me one and had no problem when I asked for it to be used.

I'll bite.

Rick, are you being an ass or do you have proof that Tom "scammed" or is a "scam" in any way?

Tom has been on this forum for little more than a year. In that time he has tried several different ways for others to sell insurance under him.

He's done Final Expense, non-med life insurance, call center, etc.

Each time, his "agents" have paid money they likely don't have to test out these can't miss systems. When he decides they don't work, I'm pretty sure it's he doesn't return any money to his agents.

I too have a few agents working with me. They know that I am spending MY money testing out ways to solicit life insurance business before I would make any recommendations. Tom seems to recommend and let other people test it for him (or at least let them pay the costs).

I call that a scam. Maybe your definition is a little more precise, but I'm sticking to my feelings.

He has pointed out to us that selling insurance "isn't brain surgery." Given Tom's almost complete lack of insurance knowledge, many of us who ARE professionals, were offended.

Let Tom pay his dues, learn about the industry and products, and then provide his "can't miss" leads. Maybe he'll have some credibility here.

Rick
