Easy/hard?

Their rates are not all that great for smokers. Good but not great. They are great for pipe and cigar smokers and chewers and dippers since those folks can get non tobacco rates.

Really only for the pipe and cigar smokers. A few other companies will go non tobacco for chewers and dippers.

But, Americo doesn't have you list the medicines but they do an Rx check. They don't have you list the companies that the person has applied for in the past but they require that from the agent after submission. Not only who they applied with but what was the out come of that application. Was it declined, rated, withdrawn, accepted, etc?

They are almost as quick to order an amendment as Monumental.

You haven't seen a writing agent list them as a favorite in this thread.


I agree 100% with Americo. That office staff is a complete disaster. Anybody that says they have a great office staff is either a marketer or some fool that hasn't worked as an agent in the field.

Monumental I totally Disagree with. They have been great for me. Matter of fact, I haven't gotten a declined application yet and they have been very good with processing and getting the policies issued in a timely manner.
 
Settlers could be a big player if they were even a little more agent friendly. Last app I sent them I did the "enhanced POS" and it still took a month to get issued. ....................................................................

Recently? Since they started doing them in house? I though they had all that straightened out..

Settlers is a nice little company. However, that its downfall as well. Too small and everything over there is ran like its 1985. They might still be working with commodore 64 computers.

It's been about 3 months. They have 2 types of POS calls a regular POS then what they call Enhanced. If you do enhanced you are going to get an approval on the spot. Then I faxed it in and it sat in underwriting for a month. 158 monthly premium. The lady got all worked up it took so long and wanted to cancel

I've had on pending with them for almost 2 months now that I did the "enhanced" phone interview on. I didn't get an answer at the end of the interview because the system "went down".

They required a second phone interview a couple of weeks later but still no answer.

I don't find them to be agent friendly at all. yes they are a little mom and pop type company but they micromanage with the best of them.

They have a full page of instructions on how to fax an app to them. Then they start the nitpicking. They have niche here and there and that's about all they have goling for them.

Very few of these companies truly get it.
 
dont these companys relize that they need good customer service for the agents?we are the only thing that brings in money for them. no agent sales no money DUH
