Easy/hard?

Very few of these companies truly get it.

Royal Neighbors seems to. I had a lady declined during the PHI and they sent me an email demanding I fax the app to them anyway even though I told them I placed her with another company. They threatened to take away my PHI privileges if I didn't do as they demanded. I replied that they should be grateful that I and every other agent that chooses to do business with them actually sends business their way especially after the way they raises their rates. A supervisor actually replied and apologized for the company coming off the way it did, kindly explained why she requested I fax in the app and told me they were, indeed, grateful for every piece of business they receive. I didn't expect a reply like that but it was nice to get.

Yeah they get it. They had some of the best rates in the industry and then raised the rates and lowered comps.

I don't think any of these companies truly get it. That's why we're independent.

They have to have the app faxed in even on a decline so that they can have a copy of the signed HIPAA form on file

dont these companys relize that they need good customer service for the agents?we are the only thing that brings in money for them. no agent sales no money DUH

Yeah..but no company means no product for the agent to sell.. Neither is more important that the other.. It is a synergistic effort. :GEEK:

They actually said it was because the company that does the PHI gets audited and needs all records of PHI's on file in the firm of signed apps for when those audits happen. It really didn't make any sense to me but they were nice about it at least.

Apparently they don't have voice signature capabilities.. Companies like Equitable that do voice signatures don't require a paper app at all. But those that don't such as Settlers, require the paper app to be faxed even in the case of a decline.
