EFES Tele Leads Feedback

"I wonder what it is that EFES is doing different that sets their tele leads so far apart from other tele leads... "

GLAD YOU ASKED.
I will tell you. FYI You can actually login to Equitas and HEAR the conversation between the telemarketer and the mark for each "lead", and then you hear / understand what is really going on. Chilling. To Equitas, a lead is any prospect that does not hang up the phone within 30 seconds for any reason. I listened to ALL my lead conversations and heard people answering the door, listening to the television, talking to someone else, the radio, feeding their dog, arguing with someone MOST listening without saying a word because THEY JUST DID NOT KNOW HOW TO HANG UP. Not ONE had any specific interest or need for FE. And to Equitas, THESE are leads. NO I DON'T THINK SO. Just awful and a complete rip.

As far as the comparison that paperhanger suggested I tend to disagree. The reason I like the press one type leads is because all they have to do to opt out is hang up and nothing further will happen. If they choose to leave their info at the end of the recording, they are telling you they want more info.

As others have stated with the efess tm leads telemarketer's are working them to leave the info and they know what to say to get them to do it. It is much easier to hang up on a recording than a live person.

TM leads are also more predictable and much faster. I ordered 25 leads two weeks ago on a Tuesday and got them in 2 days. I got 25 fresh leads in 2 days of the order, and have written 10 policies off of those 25 leads, with others to work. I wrote 5 yesterday and 2 today. I got home by 2:30 today and was working 2 hours away. Its pretty tough to do that running leads by door knocking. I wrote 7 policies in 10 hours of working including 4 hours of driving time. Yestereday afternoon I was tired so I went to the hotel early and took a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day.

To me what's most impressive about the numbers JD turns is he is setting appointments off of DM leads. When I worked DM leads I seemed to have more success by doorknocking. I always hated to waste leads and it was too easy for them to just state over the phone they no longer want or need the info and then they just hang up. So then I would wait a couple of weeks and just do a driveby and hope they forgot my phone call.

So you call and set appointments with all TM? I'm sure the faster you call them the higher the chance of an appointment. Do you use only press 1?

Nfl how long do you call the press one leads until they answer or you do stop calling?

Door knock or circular file ones you haven't contacted?

Do you have to kill me after you give the info?

my normal batch is 25 leads. Out of those 25 leads I might get between 5 and 7 that never seem to answer. I call once or twice and always write down when I call so as to try different times of the day. After once or twice I go to Star 67. If I can't contact them via phone, I go to their home when it is convenient ie; I get stood up or if I get a call for a cancelation.

When I am in the area and have time to kill, I will normally first call them via star 67 and if they answer I hang up and then just go to their home, if I am within 15 minutes driving time. If I am hard up for a sale I will go to their home even when they don't answer.

I absolutely hate driving to a home without an appointment, but if I am in the area with time to kill and need a sale, that's what I do.

My typical FE TM leads are cagey like a fox. Sometimes you have to out smart them and sometimes you will get them. My current thought process tells me maybe I should just be buying more leads and if they don't answer within a few days, call a new lead. It seems like if you spend too much time chasing older leads, it is counter productive.

NFL, I may have missed it but it sounds like you have a pretty good TM company. Care to share anymore info? Company, cost etc.

NFL,

Are u getting 25 leads a week in the same area? You must have a very large territory for them to be able to produce that meany leads weekly? Anytime I order tele leads, no matter who they are from... They trickle in 1-4 a day til order is filled.

I don't what others are doing but all one has to do is listen to the recording of an EFES telelead and the problems are obvious.

Plus they are getting trained by a person that doesn't sell anything but teleleads. He doesn't sell insurance.

Again, I haven't goten any since Feb and they have supposedly "improved" them a couple of times since then. I just have no interest in finding out if that's true based on my past experiences.

Another thing that impacted mine were that they were not just calling from a targeted list. They were calling the non responders from the mailings. I found there was generally a reason that they didn't respond to the mailer. If I had just been using only teleleads and they were calling instead of mailing then I most likely would have gotten to see the people that I saw anyway that did respond.

I might have a different perspective on the telelead then? I doubt it though because of how they talked to people on the phone. Truly cringeworthy.

JD years ago when I cold called Medicare beneficiaries I only worked nonresponders as so many people ignored them as they did not express interest I had much better luck with them than the responded leads......Now it might have something to do with it being Bankers and the responded leads where probably 2 years old and had been worked by a dozen agents before me....:)
