F.E. Cheat Sheet And/or Health Questionaire

They did decline a client of mine due to taking a waterpill- but he maybe more damaged than letting on.. 2 other policies.. no problem at all

They do pay daily... however, its actually 1 week from the day the clients draft clears...

Decent POS too.. it's my choice now until they do something goofy to me... all in all, that grandchild rider is a very nice closing point

I can see it as a natural way to talk to the whole family. Seems like a great Idea. I would also like to hear more from the FE guys on Forethought.

It does go over very well. The first time I mentioned it, the husband and wife looked at each other and right then I could see that they'd made their decision. The wife was then dispatched by the husband to go and retrieve the list of grandchildren. Apparently they'd made a list of everyone for Christmas so they wouldn't forget them.

I brought the list (beyond the ones that fit on the application) back to the office and typed them into a simple spreadsheet for inclusion in the application packet submitted. It was accepted without a problem and the application showed as approved online two hours after I faxed it in. Not bad at all.

Yeah, they do have an automatic 7 day hold from the ACH draft date to make sure it went through, etc. I can't tell you how many times agents have written cases where they've gotten the account info wrong or the draft bounced for some reason upon initial draft and insurance companies have already dispatched the full commission. In some rare cases they have to go back for that commission and an agent might have disappeared (say it ain't so).

So, Forethrought is covering themselves, I believe, in having the automatic draft hold on there. But they do pay daily as those are released. That, plus the full commissions paid on the R.O.P. plan, age last birthday, Accidental Death Rider included at no charge, and they will accept mailed/faxed signatures from 48 states makes it a big winner in my book.

Are the Grand Children underwritten? How much info is collected on them?

No, the grandchildren are not underwitten.
It's a $5,000 benefit for the first of any of them to die.
Like a "first to die", listing all, paying for one.

Here is the coverage as specified in the actual specimen policy:

Assuming the FE policy, process and comp with Forethought is comparable with the "better" plans, I can think of several marketing ideas for this.

Hopefully more of the FE experts post opinions.

Thanks

Fire away.. let's discuss those ideas!
(It is a discussion forum!)

Grandma's love them some grandchildren

I'm thinking of going back to all my clients I've written beyond a year and sending them all letters and announcing this product.

Adding a $5000 policy to their current one and getting all them grand babies 5k.. I got some client with 10+ of them little fuggers running 'round

Someone pointed out that... today there are MANY grandparents actually raising their grandchildren. The parents are incarcerated, gave up on the kids, moved away, etc. This is happening more and more, and this is a no-brainer for those folks.

At one time there were a couple of plans that allowed the grandparent to put grandchildren as riders...
