Fex Contracting or the Insurance Squad

What would be the lead in for a FB lead? Just wondering for those of you who have used these... at the door what or how do you position your introduction... much the same I would assume with a DM but you nuance it a bit?

Do you call them before you visit?

Thus far I have door knocked them. I did speak to one before I met with her because she called me to make the appointment ... true story. I knock at the door, tell the person who I am, and let them know that we got his/her request for final expense coverage, he/she qualifies, and I just need a few minutes to go over it with them. I conclude with the old "May I come in?" While looking down, nodding my head yes, and wiping my feet.

I haven't posted in this forum for few years, but check in occasionally and found your comment. So, I have to ask you a question :-)

Why do you feel that Facebook leads won't be king "anytime soon"? Is it the quality, no consistency, too hard to scale, too many FB rule changes or simply because too many lead vendors still specialize in DM? Perhaps something else?

Why not multiply your investment in FB leads then? Do DM leads have better ROI in your experience, are they easier to work/contact? Just curious...

Read his post again I think you'll find his answer.

I'm sure 30 years ago there were also 50 year old agents that said look at all the technology today's seniors grew up with, the market for this product is changing!!1! And then a guy with a cigar turns around and asks for simple substantiated proof.

I understand your point, but I am not asking what kind of leads the trip winners currently use. I'm asking "why" the FB leads wouldn't become "king anytime soon", what would be the reason?

Have you ever thought that maybe the guys (and organizations) that have something working well for them might keep it a secret?

The only reason I ever talk about TV is because I know an indy agent cant be on TV.

The guys making it in the FB realm, are not going to tell you about it.

That's why it's important to check the forum from time to time, we have the fe blackbelt Mr. Kruzich to slip us all the secrets.

Wow the lead called you? That must be a special type of lead! Since 1996 I have had zero leads call me, well except a special type of FB lead. :)

A lead is a lead is a lead as long as it gets you in the house. My experience with Facebook leads was very good as far as lead quality. But the bad thing about them (for face to face agents) was they were spread out all over half of Indiana. there was no way (at least back then) to cluster them together like direct mail.

This was a few years ago when Lee O'Neal was the only guy generating them. I would say the quality per lead was higher than direct mail in those days. But it's around four years later now. The leads have gotten much cheaper to generate but there are a LOT of people generating them now. The quality is down from four years ago but still good enough if it gets agents in the homes.

I would say at this point they are great filler leads for face to face agents and could be a main lead source for telesales agents. But just like any lead source, when they are getting hit over and over from many different lead vendors the quality (just my assumption) has to go down compared to when they were new and unique.

Let me hit on a couple points:

DM has always been king for my 14 yrs doing this and will probably remain king for the next 5 yrs or so IMO.. but FB leads are gaining ground quickly because of how quickly they can be generated. Not all FB leads are equal it depends on the vendor!! It very similar to DM leads i can create a DM lead that gets a 5% return rate but nobody would sell it.

Very rarely does an agent just take all FB leads but we recently brought over a couple young guns from a competitor for our FB leads and they each wanted 75 FB leads each per week (because they live in AZ which is tough on DM) and they both are writing 6-8K a week on average because they have so many people to see... the only problem i see with FB leads is that they are time sensitive...

Let me share some stats with people... these are based on three random EFES agents who were running DM and FB at the same time for over six weeks... Avg prem per sale on the DM was very normal at $57 avg prem per sale on the FB leads they were at $72 avg per sale... those stats over the same three agents has to explain that the type of client is just a little higher on the money scale

My vendor can place the FB leads in one cluster of an area so they are not spread out all over the state so i think that is something people should address with their vendors if they are having those issues for their agents.
