Fex Contracting or the Insurance Squad

#overthinkitmuch

Give me a $15 lead and I'll make the rest happen. I bought a batch of avatars once from dave and had a lady sitting at her table ID and checkbook in Hand when i walked in. A lead is just a legit excuse to be at there house, nothing more.

With respect...

If you're not considering all of the variables I mentioned (and more), then you're not doing online marketing correctly.

Changing even one variable can have a huge effect on any marketing method, whether it's online or offline.

Create a standard, then change variables over time. Split test everything and all of the time. Marginal improvements add up to big differences over time.

I wasn't talking about buying online ads. I was talking about generating them yourself.

If you can create leads yourself, you control the quality and number of leads.

You also won't be at mercy of lead vendors, who may not even be generating quality leads in the first place, unless they test all of the variables (and more) that I mentioned.

I think the discussion here is if it is a possibility to use Facebook ads to generate FE leads. Of course there are ways of doing it that are clickbait... just like the Walmart gift card direct mail leads. No matter if your sitting in front of Starbucks handing out your biz card or sending out direct mail cards, all advertising / marketing is is a way to get your solution to a problem out there. Nothing more. Furthermore, all a "lead" is is a person who expressed some kind of interest in getting their problem solved.

Once we realize that, the sky is the limit to how we can generate "leads".

What would be the lead in for a FB lead? Just wondering for those of you who have used these... at the door what or how do you position your introduction... much the same I would assume with a DM but you nuance it a bit?

Do you call them before you visit?

I haven't tried the Facebook leads, but Thad included a script when you ordered avatar leads from him. You could ask him if he has a script for the Facebook leads.

So who are the 200k producers that call facebook leads king?

I ask this same question to agents quite often.

I have traveled the world winning insurance incentive trips for various carriers over the years and I always like to ask certain questions to the winners of these same trips. One of the questions I always ask is, "what kind of leads are you buying"? Direct mail is almost ALWAYS part of their equation & answer. Until the answer to that question changes dramatically then direct mail is still king. I believe Facebook leads to be good fillers to accompany your direct mail lead flow but they are certainly not king now or anytime soon. I think they are attractive because they are easy, quick & inexpensive to generate. They can provide a nice ROI and can immediately get you in the game while waiting on direct mail to come in.

Colonial Penn recently announced they're scaling back their direct mail budget in replacement of their digital marketing budget. I think we will see a huge shift in advertising in the next couple of years!

I haven't posted in this forum for few years, but check in occasionally and found your comment. So, I have to ask you a question :-)

Why do you feel that Facebook leads won't be king "anytime soon"? Is it the quality, no consistency, too hard to scale, too many FB rule changes or simply because too many lead vendors still specialize in DM? Perhaps something else?

Why not multiply your investment in FB leads then? Do DM leads have better ROI in your experience, are they easier to work/contact? Just curious...
