Fex Contracting or the Insurance Squad

ALL forms of marketing works. Period. It's all about getting your message in front of people.

I know a WFG agent who sits in front of Starbucks and pitches everyone who walks by. Dude makes over 75k a year and drives a Mercedes C class.

Try to tell him he has to put up a $2,000 deposit and wait 6 weeks for leads to come in. LOL!!!

Can all agents do it & have success? Of course not. But I would love to see the stats on failure rate of agents doing that VS spending $500 a week on FE DM leads. I would be willing to bet it's close to the same. At the end of the day it's about the agents sales ability and work ethic.

Did you honestly just say that agents sitting at Starbucks and pitching people that are coming and going for coffee would have close to the same chance at success/failure as agents who spend $500 per week for leads?

If that is even CLOSE to true then I go out tomorrow, buy me a nice van with some shag carpet and park it by the river. I'm out. I must be too disconnected from reality at this point.

The problem is the failure rate in our industry is so high, can we honestly say what has been trained (20 dm leads a week) really works and is the best way?

Probably gotta have a good cardboard sign.

With an equally skilled mentor with both sides yes I'd say it would be about the same.

I was a sales manager for a vacation company before. All we would do is stand in malls and cold pitch everyone who happened to walk by. We'd sell them a $199 vacation package on the spot. My team made the company over $1,000,000 in gross profits in one year. Out of a 5X5 kiosk at the mall!

Again, marketing is marketing. Period!!!!

One of the biggest factors in the failure rate is agents not buying leads. Or buying leads that don't make sense.

In my years I have made insurance sales from a lot of different methods including mall kiosks. And one of my biggest sales I ever made came from running into someone I hadn't seen in years while walking into a Cracker Barrell.

But to think that agents could just snipe Star Bucks customers and have the same chance of success as the #1 most tried and true proven method with equal success. Or even close...? I have to admit. I can't buy into that logic.

i agree

when i am coming out of "Bucks" i am usually in a rush like every other person coming out... all new agents do not try and sit in front of starbucks to make money... spend money to make money... stop trying to re-invent what is proven...

the reason why most people fail in this business is not the leads... they fail because they don't treat this like a job... if you treat this business like a job and you have good lead flow and someone who can help you make less mistakes you will make money...

DON'T stand in front of starbucks... and if you do... don't do it at the one by my house

Bob The Insurance Agent once posted that he sat a a table in the Food Court at the mall with a cardboard sign he made that said, "Ask Me About Medicare".

I don't think it worked too well. I tried to find the post, but couldn't find it in a couple of tries, so you'll just have to take my word for it.
