For those of you using NORVAX...

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

i think you dont care about anyone you are just money hungry people.

This makes absolutely no sense seeing as though you told her you would be glad to work with her to get her a BETTER offer. Ugh.. people are silly.

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

Roughly 3/4 of our unassisted apps pick the wrong plans (cheap plans, no co pays, or HSA on a 4 year old). The decline rate on unassisted is very high - people applying unassisted want to remain anonymous usually for a reason.

People also think the price is higher with an agent.

People do not realize UNDERWRITING and what it involves. For example Asthma:

Carrier #1 - 5 year waiver
Carrier #2 - condition specific deductible
Carrier #3 - rate up
Carrier #4 - approved preferred, no rate up no rider

We would recommend carrier #4 - despite the commission may be lower.

Without an educated agent (even then it is hit or miss as the agent is financially motivated) the customer is out of luck wasting a lot of time and money trying to figure this mess out.

Either the carriers standardize plans and get their act together or GI is and heavy regulation is coming down the pipeline.

As for Norvax - I find that showing the least amount of plans is the best. Norvax has a long way to go on some features compared to Ehealth and others.

I am disappointed I can not pick "featured plans" like Quotit.

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

I'm hesistant to even put BX on my Norvax site. I don't want to sell BX...

1. I have a crappy contract
2. BX is a pain the ass to deal with
3. Underwriting sucks
4. Semi-annual rate increases

I could keep going... RX-caps, etc...

I'm still on the fence on showing dental. I definitely see both sides of the argument.

TXINSURANCE-How many plans do you show? I know I'm in your backyard and you definitely have no incentive to help me, but I'd be interested in seeing your Norvax site...
I'll buy some leads from you... :)

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

BX is not really a player in GA. Rates are almost never in the hunt, underwriting is a circle jerk. Still, it is like other stuff, if I don't show it someone else will.

Had I been involved in the BX sales last year they most likely would have gone with another carrier. But by leaving them alone, more precisely, they wanted nothing from me, they picked the plan they wanted and I am getting paid on a dozen apps.

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

BC/BS's propaganda has been going out over the airwaves for decades. Some people are convinced they are a hometown local operation that only operates altruistically. BC wouldn't hurt us, they love us and want to protect us.

BC doesn't have those nasty ole insurance agents, why, we can sign up by phone...and the few agents they have they don't let make enough to be greedy...keeps em humble.

I hate BC.

Re: Norvax Users...

Norvax is starting to reject returns because agents were abusing them. They rejected one from aaaaa bbbbb. I laughed at them and told my rep they could at least look at them first.

I also sent him two leads that came today that were Pub Clear House. I mentioned the email about their holiday special and that they don't sell incentive leads.

I'm rooting for Aslam.

Josh - no offense but you are 0 for 4 here. But it's OK I still like you ... lol...

1. I have a crappy contract
***Really? 15 and 20% first year, 10% renewal. Full commission on rate up and as premium progresses. Man I thought I was greedy. Put that up against Aetna, Humana, or Unicare over 3 years - see what is higher***

2. BX is a pain the ass to deal with
***Not since the Hallmark migration. GREAT online app, 3-7 day approvals, you just need to know their system like every other carrier***

3. Underwriting sucks
***Get an updated book and read it. twice. No rate up or waiver for up to 3 HBP RX, no ashtma waiver, find me a Texas carrier with no rate up or waiver on HBP and I will rest my case.***

4. Semi-annual rate increases
***12 month rate lock practiced for years. You want to talk rate increases I'll call my Aetna clients that got 26% this year, or my Unicare clients that got an increase for age, 4/1 and 7/1 - ohhh the fun never stops***

It sounds like you have not dealt with BCBS TX in a long time. I give them the most improved award - hands down in TX. Are they perfect? Don't make me laugh.

They do have the biggest network discounts (average over 50%!!!), and my BCBS TX retention is the highest of any carrier I sell - almost double my Unicare retention. There are a lot of factors into this - I don't want to open up that can of worms.

BCBS in other states - yeah most are incompetent and make you work for free. BCBS TX I give credit where it is due and what is in the hopper is huge. You might want to give them another glance when you have time.

Quotit vs. Norvax - probably neither. Truth be told neither services my needs completely or even partially. Quotit had a HARD CODED "show only plans with maternity button" and I got sick of calling leads on my website and hearing "You had no plans available".

Quotit for years you could not export data - I believe this has been resolved now - I left with ZERO customer data - that is really a shame.

Getting Quotit to change something was like trying to reach Elvis - they didn't care.

Norvax I selected because they listened and worked with me on important issues, where Quotit ignored me and offered a cookie cutter product.

Both have known issue, Quotit has a FAR better presentation - always has. Norvax is buggy. For as may states as I need - I think Norvax comes in a little less money and serves the purpose.
