For those of you using NORVAX...

Re: Norvax Users...

Returns are not a huge issue if the leads are not complete garbage and over sold.

It is one thing to be garbage , it is another to be over sold garbage.

Retention is also the silent killer on oversold garbage leads, the policies do not stick when 8 agents are calling the lead in 90 days trying to steal the deal you spent so much time with.

It happens no matter how good you are.

Re: Norvax Users...

How long did it take you to get setup?

They told me I would be up today, but I have heard nothing from them... not a good way to start our relationship...

Over promise and under reward...

Sounds like you are referring to the quoter, and the others responses are concerning the leads...

They apparently have some problems. My website has been up for 3 weks now and NEVER been right. Just went thru the upgrade to version 2.0 and now it doesn't work at all. Tech support is intent on telling that it does, but it only works internally for them, not otherwise.

I am NOT the least bit happy with my experience at NORVAX.

Re: Norvax Users...

Prospect Zone leads are horrible. And Rabbi is correct. They are unwilling to recognize and credit bad leads. I am getting free leads from them via USPC. Those leads will run out soon and I will be converting to the $50 bonus instead.

I have had service issues with Norvax (in the past) and Quotit. Of the two , Quotit was more responsive and they even solicit my input on ways to improve.

Never got that from Norvax.

It is mostly a personal preference as to which one you want to use. Norvax usually has more carriers in more states. Quotit has always had a more consumer friendly layout.

When I started, I used Norvax because Quotit only had 2 carriers in GA online. Now they have all I need.

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

Josh - no offense but you are 0 for 4 here. But it's OK I still like you ... lol...

1. I have a crappy contract
***Really? 15 and 20% first year, 10% renewal. Full commission on rate up and as premium progresses. Man I thought I was greedy. Put that up against Aetna, Humana, or Unicare over 3 years - see what is higher***

2. BX is a pain the ass to deal with
***Not since the Hallmark migration. GREAT online app, 3-7 day approvals, you just need to know their system like every other carrier***

3. Underwriting sucks
***Get an updated book and read it. twice. No rate up or waiver for up to 3 HBP RX, no ashtma waiver, find me a Texas carrier with no rate up or waiver on HBP and I will rest my case.***

4. Semi-annual rate increases
***12 month rate lock practiced for years. You want to talk rate increases I'll call my Aetna clients that got 26% this year, or my Unicare clients that got an increase for age, 4/1 and 7/1 - ohhh the fun never stops***

It sounds like you have not dealt with BCBS TX in a long time. I give them the most improved award - hands down in TX. Are they perfect? Don't make me laugh.

They do have the biggest network discounts (average over 50%!!!), and my BCBS TX retention is the highest of any carrier I sell - almost double my Unicare retention. There are a lot of factors into this - I don't want to open up that can of worms.

BCBS in other states - yeah most are incompetent and make you work for free. BCBS TX I give credit where it is due and what is in the hopper is huge. You might want to give them another glance when you have time.

Quotit vs. Norvax - probably neither. Truth be told neither services my needs completely or even partially. Quotit had a HARD CODED "show only plans with maternity button" and I got sick of calling leads on my website and hearing "You had no plans available".

Quotit for years you could not export data - I believe this has been resolved now - I left with ZERO customer data - that is really a shame.

Getting Quotit to change something was like trying to reach Elvis - they didn't care.

Norvax I selected because they listened and worked with me on important issues, where Quotit ignored me and offered a cookie cutter product.

Both have known issue, Quotit has a FAR better presentation - always has. Norvax is buggy. For as may states as I need - I think Norvax comes in a little less money and serves the purpose.

I hate to burst your bubble but (lol),

1. I am with an IMO and my renewals aren't that good (my fault)
2. Customer service is awful for me (this could also be due to my relationship with an IMO)
3. I will give you this one, but the RX caps on most plans I will use to replace this item.
4. http://www.bcbstx.com/producer/pdf/ppo_selsaver_3olc.pdf
Look at the last page... 6 month rate guarantee and rate increases for age of course...

And you were right about something besides item 3, I have not picked up a BX brochure in about a year... lol

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

RX caps are common with Aetna, BX and other carriers. It is certainly not ideal but I do believe this would make you eligible for the risk pool in Texas when you hit the cap, not to mention other government and socialized programs such as Medicaid and what have you.

#4 - The initial 12 months you are locked in , I know their brochure says 6 months but this has not been "practiced" in many years. They do reserve the right to do this, but it is have not been done in many years.

Ditch your IMO - that is likely the problem, unless you need advances.

Re: Try my Norvax Filters...

That was the problem originally. I got them because they offered an advance (on submit-YUCK!) and a 20% commission. They offer almost no renewals. Now, I don't need an advance.

I do agree that someone capping out RX maxes would entitle them to the risk pool if it came down to it in most scenarios.
