Got a question about cancelations

Bringing this conversation back around to insurance and cancellations (with 2 ll's says the worlds worst speller) ;) ...

Has anyone experimented wit their own cancellation letter as a way to reach out to policy holders that have allowed their policies to laps?

No, but that's because the very day I get an NSF notice, I'm at their door, on the phone, texting, etc. to save the case. If I'm unsuccessful, and it lapses anyway, I'll talk to them about reinstating. One of my companies (LBL) will allow a one time "reinstate by redate" (with stipulations), where the client can reinstate their policy by paying one month's premium and completing a reinstatement form. Then the company moves the policy issue date forward by the number of month's between the lapse and the reinstatement. This is very helpful for first year persistency!

The reinstatement can be completed without a new policy or at least health questions?

Reinstatement form has some health questions. Minimal, though. They just want to make sure the person isn't reinstating cuz they just got bad news from the doctor.

Have you been using LBL long?
Contracted 2011. I've been pretty active with them since 2013. They're one of my primary carriers, although I use them more for home service than FE. But the RXR is available for the FE side of the house, too.

Is it something I want to do, not a chance. Is it something I understand, not at all.

But it also isn't something you are going to pray away either. If it truly is a disease then let's find a cure. Maybe that cure is gender reassignment or maybe it is fixing what is causing the issues, I don't know.

But I do know, hate isn't going to do a thing. People are saying the same things people said about homosexuality 20 or 30 years ago, that it is a choice. Society seems to have accepted that isn't true, I suspect society will do the same here.
