Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

Now seeing that all pending Sherpa apps may not be able to be processed....I've done about 5 today that are pending and I'm getting nervous....also tried to call healthcare.gov and due to long hold times they're now saying "don't call us, we'll call you"', taking your number and promising a callback. That was this morning and still no callback.

Sometimes you have to wonder, "What's the point?"

What a )(#$%# roller coaster this thing is.

At the beginning of OE, I was kicking tail and taking apps. Health Sherpa was making it a breeze.

Then everything slammed to a halt with the double redirect mess.

Then its back! Yay!

Now it's slammed back shut. I have 5 apps pending now.

So what do we do? The Sherp can't guarantee enrollment on time and we can't get through the back door of .gov, no phone calls. What happens now?

I am having the same problem. I have 5 pending on health sherpa. Maybe a dumb question but do they have to be submitted tonight the 14th by midnight or 15th by midnight? Cant find a clear answer online. It says the 15th.

Also on Aetna Coventry plans. They wont let me use there web submit for subsidy plans. Is there anything besides health Sherpa I can submit these five real quick?

I tried going direct through UHC broker portal as well and all I get is:

ACAexpress is the only WBE working right now from what I can see.....

I just went to ACA express. Looks pretty easy. So is this basically the same this as health Sherpa?

Any hidden BS I need to be aware of? If not then damn I will just resubmit to them real quick and check it out.

Yes, ACAExpress is SUPER FAST. However, quote from another platform to compare. I found discrepancies in premium and subsidy at quote time (usually off by just a few dollars or even just a few cents). However, when the app goes through, and the eligibility cert is issued, the premiums and subsidies are correct to the penny.

Once again, ACAExpress is super fast, is submitting the apps through to hc.gov today (I just did 2 of them in the last hour), and it takes 2-5 minutes to complete their enrollment.

AS for the question about deadline, hc.gov says this

December 15, 2015: Last day to enroll in or change plans for new coverage to start January 1, 2016

I didn't ask this year, but based on the last 2 years, they mean midnight EST.

I had two clients call today pissed that I sent them an email about paying their bill, when they paid last time we talked. Not good at all, why would anyone want a 3rd party to email something with your name on it.

WTF! What is going on?

George K goes on the news touting that he created a "new" healthcare.gov in just a few days. Then it doesn't work right. So they fix it and it's great. Then they break it. Then fix it. Now it's broken every other day. Now, sometimes an app goes through, sometimes it doesn't.

SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE HEALTHCARE.GOV!


Maybe a simple explanation without all the bullshit so we know what is broken and what you're doing to fix it!
