Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

Health Sherpa reminds me of my father-in-law. Something breaks and he says he can fix it but really just makes it work.

Then before giving it the attention it needs to be FIXED, he decides to paint it instead. Then it stops working, so he makes it work again, doesn't fix it.

Then moves on to something else that isn't even broken....and usually breaks it.

Then paints it.

I did a few apps after I switched over to ACA express today too. I'm so thankfully that Kenny and ACA were running smoothly.
I will say though, I enjoy HS' layout better and being able to compare plans side to side. I found myself emailing quotes from HS to clients and telling them not to hit enroll and then enrolling from ACA.
If you guys could make that function available Kenny, I don't see any reason to ever go back to HS

Helllloooooo Kenny!
This is precisely what I have been telling you guys since day one.

side by side is a feature on our list but we made strategic decision to put efforts into other aspects. Even in hindsight this was the correct decision as evidenced by we are submitting applications through to completion while they are not... :)

I think what he meant to say was that, "We didn't want to paint the car the day before the race and look stupid!"

Well, admittedly, I am no website design artist, but one would think that a side by side comparison feature would be objective #1 in any site designed by experienced, knowledgeable insurance brokers.

Right?

It's a KEY element in our ability to help people select a final plan.

Actually, just being able to send the link to a customized quote, like https://www.healthsherpa.com/find-plans/plans?zip_code=60606&fip_code=17031&people=[50fa]&size=1&providers=[1558320861]&income=20000&mf=[silver]&if=[42,43]&ptf=[HMO,PPO]&cs=premium&page=1 is of tremendous value to us and the prospect.

Since HealthSherpa's incapacity, I've been sending customized HealthSherpa quote links to prospects showing only the recommended companies & plans, and telling them not to hit the "Choose Plan" button. It's an error-prone method to quote on one site, but enroll somewhere else, but it's better than sending them a link to build their own quotes, and be exposed to all 69 plan choices!

Edit to Add: The copy/paste function of the forum doesn't allow for the full URL to be added. If it did, you'd only see 14 recommended plans spread over 2 insurers.

Yes Jbage, I totally agree, it would be an extremely valuable service.

I'll use another analogy since I'm not articulate enough to explain my mentality.

I live in Florida, my car having Air Conditioning is of HUGE importance, but if the car doesn't drive and doesn't have air conditioning, I don't work on the A/C 1st.

Which is exactly what HealthSherpa did. The platform didn't work, but instead of fixing it, they added more things to break down the day before the race.

:skeptical:(Damn me and my stupid analogies)

Oh..I see why Health Sherpa is resending those "Make Your First Payment!" e-mails. Instead of telling my clients to call me, they're telling them to call their respective health insurer, with Insurer Name and Phone number included. That would be OK if the applicant knew what their policy number is.

Actually, Allen - many insurers don't generate a policy number until the first premium is paid. In addition, if a policy # IS generated prior to payment, it may take 48-72 hours or more. Most carriers don't have an issue looking a client up using DOB/Name/SSN for payment purposes.

I am of the opinion that payment needs to be made ASAP upon policy approval. Regardless of whether a policy # is available.
