Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

Actually, Allen - many insurers don't generate a policy number until the first premium is paid. In addition, if a policy # IS generated prior to payment, it may take 48-72 hours or more. Most carriers don't have an issue looking a client up using DOB/Name/SSN for payment purposes.

I am of the opinion that payment needs to be made ASAP upon policy approval. Regardless of whether a policy # is available.

Just got an e-mail from a client who can't get through by phone to pay the premium and the website login asks for her policy number. So, she will wait for the "welcome" letter.

But you're right PQ, there are companies where resources are in place for focusing on collecting payment ASAP. Congrats if your preferred carrier(s) are in that bunch!

EDIT TO ADD: It just occurred to me that Health Sherpa likely obtains a TON of enrollments for their "house account". That's why they're pushing so hard with the "Make a Payment" e-mails this Open Enrollment. I don't think they were a licensed insurance agency last year...just a WBE. (???)

Will Sherpa be submitting all the pending applications we have on hold since there is a 2 day extension... This should not be a problem now with the extension....where is Ning or Gerry...????

Have any of you ever had any support from George K?

I did, I spent over an hour on the phone. He made financial promises in order to rectify the situation regarding their faulty iFrame coding. Then vanished like a fart in the wind. Didn't make good on a single promise!

Then again, Kenny also didn't go on TV touting claims that he reinvented HealthCare.gov

It's a poorly run company. I've brought the iFrame issue to their attention on MANY occasions the past year with NO resolution.

To be VERY clear: If you use iFrames on your website to embed HealthSherpa (as advertised on their site,) and someone attempts to enroll using Safari, Chrome, Opera, an updated Internet Explorer, iOS, or through Facebook click-though; GEORGE K. GETS THE SALE, NOT YOU!

This is a result of 3rd party cookies being blocked, which they are fully aware of and simply won't remedy. Further, I provided a solution to the problem through code changes. If they are unwilling to fix it, they should in good conscience remove the iFrame code snippet from the agent dashboard altogether as it's misleading.

However, since they've had a year to fix it and won't. I can only speculate that it's simply too lucrative collecting all those enrollments for them to WANT to make the change.

I used HS all enrollment and it was very smooth and so much easier.

Sure thing pal. The other 20 agents here b*tching about all the problems they've had with Sherpa is just a fluke and obviously something we're doing wrong. Please tell us how you were able to get Sherpa to work perfectly and all of us couldn't.

Why wont Sherpa come back here and tell us if their site is fully functional? I want to place business with them today for 1/1/2016 effective dates but they are silent as a church mouse.
Seriously Sherpa, can we continue to use you ?

Health Sherpa reminds me of my father-in-law. Something breaks and he says he can fix it but really just makes it work.

Then before giving it the attention it needs to be FIXED, he decides to paint it instead. Then it stops working, so he makes it work again, doesn't fix it.

Then moves on to something else that isn't even broken....and usually breaks it.

Then paints it.
