Wonder how Jackie O's (Kennedy Onasis) estate will feel about that?

Last time she stopped by she was the one who recommended we use that name.

That's what gave us the idea. We were in Rome a few years ago and there is a very cool bar and restaurant is named "Jackie O".

Frank - you said regional Italian. Northern or Southern? Italian with some great seafood options would rock.

Thanks for asking, that is a good point. Jacqueline has made that change so it now says, "Northern and Southern".

It will be a combination of the best of both.

Jacqueline is a gourmet chef and is developing the menu. Our salmon entree will be pan seared with basil cream sauce served with Parmesan garlic mashed potatoes and fresh sauteed vegeatable di giorno. The shrimp entree will be Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Of course they will start off with ricotta stuffed fried green olives with pepperoni dipping sauce and a Caprese salad with our house lemon basil reduction.

We have a Chinese restaurant next to a veterinary clinic.

Both have been around for year.

I think it's awesome that this insurance forum has gotten web savvy enough that it's a good place to go for website advice... for a restaurant!

Now if we could only find someone who knew something about insurance websites. . .

Frank if you look at the bottom left on the main page it has the name of the design company.. RestaurantByClick. They also have like 10 short youtube videos of the chef preparing different dishes. These guys have their act together and stay busy. The city even poured them larger parking lot on city property ..don't ask me how that happened..lol.

I don't have enough posts to PM you, but I can guide you in the right direction.

I do websites, but my forte isn't web design. HOWEVER, I know how to get you great web designs for a cheap price.

Jacqueline and I are building a restaurant and hope to open in June.

I have contacted a web designer to build a landing page so we can have a presence on the net while we are still under construction. So far she, the designer, has ignored what we told her we want. What she has come up with it not even close to what we have requested and already has sent us a statement for "work already done".

I need someone who is creative, knows what they are doing, isn't going to blow smoke up my ass, knows how to listen, will talk to Jacqueline on the phone and implement her ideas.

Once we are closer to opening we will also need a website built. Right now we just want a, knock your socks off, page showing that we are opening soon.

Can you tell I'm just a little frustrated at this point?

Oh, the name of our restaurant is "Jacquie Oh's", we have already captured JacquieOhs.com. We will be serving "regional Italian dishes with well paired wines in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere". (Our tag line.) We have an awesome logo that says "Bistro & Wine Bar" under "Jacquie Oh's".

I agree about the drawbacks of using Flash... but if all you want is a few temporary "hot looking" pages that you want up in an hour or a day and not a week or momth, I'd look at the WIX solution. I started a thread on it here:

Nice site, but see how the address and phone number are in an image in the header instead of being text? Don't do that! It frustrates me to no end when I'm trying to call/map a restaurant on the go and I can't click on their address or phone #on my iphone.
