If I Am with EFES...

senior life is an insurance company, you can sell face to face, or over the phone, i looked into them, they don't seem to bad, except the level of commision, you start with. both theinsuranceman and TD have teams, if you are interested speak with both of them... what i know about them is. theinsuranceman is a telephone sales expert. TD runs a tight ship, he expects you to produce. they have a very good training program. i am not with them, i am just passing on what i found out. this is how the forum is supose to work.

Thanks mack. The only thing I'm confused on is the "level of commission"? No offense taken but we do have teams or other agency's and talking comp in public typically isn't something that's done. But, we have 2 levels that agents "start" at. It depends...do you want or need leads or not? If you want to be on the lead program, be financed and have them deducted from your advances, I'm trying to figure out who offers a higher comp than us(my agency)? I know how a lot of other groups work and most of them who offer leads, start you around 80%? And they make you pay on a credit card either up front or like a week or 10 days later. We are way higher than most of those others.

If you don't want or need our leads...we offer the same "street level" if not a little higher comp level than most other carriers out there that give you high levels and rely on you to get your own leads.

Maybe I wasn't clear on that or misunderstood me. Call me anytime if you want to revisit mack?

Thanks for the props though. I really appreciate that you did take time to investigate.

How big of a problem are charge backs? I can only remember one, maybe two in the last couple years. If an agent or agency has more than a few per year something is broken. IMHO. Same with non takes. A lot of wasted time, expense and work.

I would imagine that if you only have a few chargebacks you're looking out for the client, not your pocket! That's the way to do it brother!

TD, you got my attention a few months ago, a couple of your former agents were complaining. You come on like a gentleman, explained their problem. It seems you expect your agents to sell. Even they said you run a good tight ship. So i have no problem recomending you. Senior life is a good move for agents that for any reason moved from their IMO's, and can't write for 6 months.

Don't worry. We are advertising there and just hired our first "agent". Not sure what a "noob" is but I'm sure someone will research it and come back with a definition. But I'm picking up what you're throwing down.

See...every carrier can be replaced by someone else. In the IMO world, we would replace most policies with RNA and/or Foresters. We would replace Foresters with Oxford and so on. I get it. I see the cracks. "Come into my neighborhood so I have someone to replace". Doesn't quite make sense when you need to find those folks first. Even then...if we've been in the business for awhile, we ALL have ran into those folks that we actually show them how much our product could save them and they still say "no...not interested". Or "no...I don't want to make any changes". We've all been there and there is enough business for everyone out there.

I sold a lady a few weeks ago who had FIVE policies with FIVE different companies. Make me #6. LOL That's FE. That's the business.

The difference with us is that we do on going training not on just selling but business conservation and maintenance. We teach agents the proper way to conserve and it starts from the time you first meet the agent. My office staff also sends letters out on ALL clients in my agency who have lapsed, NSF'd, NTO etc... The letters have been tried and true to get client's to respond and want to save their policy.

Moral of this story....we ARE going to expand and rapidly all over. The competition WILL replace "some " of our business. But as a previous thread poster on here stated...his friend lost a sale to SL also? It's like the four seasons of nature....it all comes back around.

Happy Selling! See you in the field.

Amen to that!
