I'll Buy It Later

Do you know why? I can see issues with "dislike" buttons, but what is the problem with a like button?

It was due to some problem because basically the posters were assigned scores based on the the response but you could do positive or negative. There was some problem over that.

Perhaps I'm off base, but I see real value in a forum where the most liked content rises to the top. It would almost certainly improve content quality, and curb all the negative BS and online grudge matches, wouldn't it?

Besides being a good guy, what is the incentive to spend the time writing great content only to have it buried in the middle of a "urinary trajectory" match?

Unless you start the thread, it's my experience that well thought out posts are buried.

Am I missing something?

You are trying to take all the fun out of the forum aren't you?

well thought out posts

Did you not read the forum rules when you joined? Any posts meeting that description shall be immediately deleted!

This forum is the water cooler for all the independent agents out there. It is where you get to bs all your buds and sometimes share that nugget of gold. Don't go screwing it up for everyone else.

That stuff is kiddie games. This site is mostly for grown ups.

Ah, the water cooler! Love it. There should certainly be a section of the forum called "Water Cooler!"

I realize I'm pretty new. Thanks to all of you for not quickly establishing the pecking order with me.:biggrin::biggrin:

No, I think that is acurrate. There is a lot of good information on this forum but one has to wade through a lot of muck to find it.

Definitely an on the mark description!:noteworthy::noteworthy:

And, this thread is a perfect example of what happens to most threads.. Starts off as one thing and evolves into something completely different.

That is accurate also. There is a lot of banter and fun stuff.

You are completely off base with that remark.

Yes, I do believe the Oriole's have a chance to make the playoffs and Cal will get the MVP award.
