Internet Leads

Very interested in trying your internet leads for FE. I do not agree that most clients don't have a computer as many of my clients love the internet, have laptops and Facebook accounts and as 10,000 people enter the senior market everyday many of them have been computer users for years. I'll be sending you a PM shortly

I can't say for sure about the non buyers I meet with but for the people I sell I always ask about having a computer or if they get on line somewhere. I ask because I', going to give them the company they are with website. Maybe 1 in 25 or 30 says they have access to a computer.

The next one that has a smart phone will be the first.

Very true .... New to the forum but been a FE Agent for 4 yrs. I have a fair share of clients with computers in the $15k-$50k bracket. So Just wanted to try something new in addition to the DM's. If the value is worth it, I'm willing to give it a chance. Others use TM leads, which I've not attempted either. I was trained pretty old school (which works) DM and Door Knocking.

Sounds as if you may be familiar with the market.. I was just pointing out to any newbies that may be reading the threads that the 10K daily really has very little to do with the FE market specifically.. I see all the "experts" that have never sold an FE policy in their life writing articles using that figure to explain why a company or an individual should enter the FE market when only a small sliver of those are actually "traditional" FE prospects. The ones that need insurance for estate conservation, charitable giving, etc.. or even those that have "everything" taking care of make up a large portion of that 10K and they as a general rule aren't going to be buying a 10K FE policy. The senior market also comprises those that buy Medical Supplement, Home Health Care, Nursing Home Coverage, Specialty Health, etc that do not typically need FE. I would say the majority of the FE market, less than 30K household income, receiving some type of subsidized health care, SSI, etc. make up less that 2% or 3% of that 10K..

7 posts so far. That's long enough? Sure?

Would assume he is talking about selling insurance.. not browsing the forum.

I wrote in the in neighborhood of $18,000 in FE in August. maybe a little more I did not track it. But UH posted I did $9,000 and SNL posted I did $6,000 there. I count $25,000 GULs and the like as Final Expense if that is why they are buying it. Of those I would guess one or two may not have had a cell phone. Most of the owners had email, a lot of the people that buy are kids of the insured. half to two thirds were internet leads. The rest were referrals. Probably half or more were over the phone, email and text. Not one direct express or direct bill.

No, I am not a full time FE agent. Just posting my experience.

EDIT: and in California UH is definitely not the lowest price. So they were mostly not sold on price.

How much of that business was from FE leads?

I used to just be a life agent.

>>I used to just be a life agent.

:D LMFAO literally spit coffee all over my desk. I had hoped to evolve also but I think I am stuck in the muck of only being a Life guy. Funny.

Not sure what you mean by FE leads. From DM? none. I have not bought a lead since most of these guys were trying to look up their middle school teacher's skirt. The only TM was me calling clients or some orphans I have. I am killer on orphans. I did order my first DM and TM leads to test it out. Should start seeing them end of the week or next week. I will not do it every week though. Maybe every other week or so. Just filler.

I could save you some shoe leather with my leads.

Just landed one in your area, check your email and good luck!

She is 98 miles from my house and I had 2 Sacramento appointments today, plus new DM leads to doorknock. Her phone number and address are both good according to online sources like whitepages.com etc.

I called her 4 times, a general voicemail greeting each time, twice blocked my number, same result. I also sent her an e-mail to let her know that the quote she requested was ready. At least the e-mail was delivered but no response yet. Maybe we will connect tomorrow.

Glad I stayed in town, first appointment sold 2 life policies, parent and child (SNL and Omaha). Next appointment, sold 2 Med Supps Plan F's for a 67 and 73 year-old couple replacing Physicians mutual.

They both have $20,000 whole life policies purchased in 2012 from Senior Life, i thought it would be a slam dunk but they were both the "super preferred plan" rate and I was about $30 a month higher on each, no sale there.

I heard Senior Life had some super duper preferred rate, this was the first time I've seen it. This couple is so healthy they could actually breeze through normal underwriting and med exams so I'm glad they got decent prices. We did have a conversation about $20,000 not being enough but it's all they want for now. They were happy to save $90 a month on their med sup bill but didn't want to spend it yet on life insurance.

Maybe we will connect tomorrow.

She answered the phone and right away she said she needed a quote and she has COPD, I said no problem...

I will let you know the rest as it progresses.

These leads are about as good as they get. I have personally called about a dozen or so from all over the country and could have closed nearly all of them on the spot but I just handed them off to local agents.

Based on that small sample, I was prepared to buy everything he could produce but sanity stepped in :D

Thank you to everyone for working with me and sampling my first attempt at Final Expense leads. The response and feedback has been overwhelming with over 100 messages sent to my inbox. If I did not get back to you it was not intentional, I apologize.

I feel I can confidently say I have broken the negative opinion on 'internet leads' for FE. All together it was a pretty good sample, about 35 leads in total and I think I only heard of one real grump on the other end of the line. I just did a few states for testing since I was putting up the cash and giving the leads away for free. Pretty much every lead became an appointment or is already on its way to being business. It's the outcome I thought would happen but some of you guys really had me doubting myself there.

The launch of my website is coming in less than 2 weeks and we will be able to do this exact same type of internet lead for essentially any insurance product. It's all I've done for my entire career, now I am just bringing it to the masses. We are working on a plan to sell these Final Expense leads as I have now proved my concept to not only myself but many agents and reputable members of this forum.

I believe I can provide one of, if not the highest converting lead out there. Just remember, with real leads from people who actually want the product, the quantity is fairly limited.

Stay tuned for more!

Thanks again, Lee
