Is Securus the New NAA??

NASE in the 90's. NAA in the 2000's. Now, who's taking the torch..?

I started with NASE, lasted a few months and had to go back and resell as many as I could. Tough year that was. Still use my NASE briefcase. LOL. Then I went to NAA. That lasted about 5 years. They weren't that bad when they first started. Whores now for sure. Indy last 5. Hate see anyone go the route of the likes of NAA.

I will never go to another "convention" that's for sure. ha

Same here. I was with NAA from 2004 through about mid 2007. Really stopped doing a lot of business with them at the end of '06.

Things were great for me there for the first almost 2 years until they shifted into being a recruiting FMO vs an insurance selling FMO.

As I was telling Reaadon in an email earlier today, that shift in focus made millionaires out of several at the top. For the ones that were willing to recruit that got in late were really struggling. I know a guy in Soouthern In that had 80 agents in his downline and he was just breaking even.

So how are ventures at Equita any different than at Securus. Both organizations use tactics to rangle agents into the fold. Securus has a better schedule for pay, much more than NAA, or Equita, exclusive leads are available day one cheaper than Equita or NAA, why are your managers leaving Equita for Securus, I guess it is all about numbers.. and we are in the business of numbers. I rarely work fe, but Securus seems the way to go. You may have a niche at Equita, higher contracts, lower lead costs, but look across the board for the people who are just starting or looking to do more, they will not get the same as you have

There are THOUSANDS of agents on contract at Equita and most of them are used and abused just like ANY IMO would do. Who profits when an agent is put under by lead costs, chargebacks and inconsistent mailings? The policies stay with the MIGs and the TIGs and the FIGs....its the agents who lose their ass.

Some agents? lazy....incompentent...sure, but there are many who did 8k to 10k per month and are in the same boat. Just go in with your eyes wide open- whether Securus, EFES, or ANY IMO.

I pay not one penny for leads now and do all my own prospecting. So when I have a bad week and only bring in $800---at least those $800 are all mine. (More or less not counting Uncie Sam of course.)

NAA vs EFES and Securus is comparing apples to oranges. I started the thread and put that in the title because of this NAA style meeting in Atlanta that Securus is pulling. If you are with Securus and not embassed by that, then what can I say?

I don't think that EFES or Securus uses any "tactics to rangle" agents. They present their business model and you chose which one is best for you.

The people successful at Securus would be successful at EFES and vice versa. Personlayy, I would not like paying for leads in advance the way Securus does it. Also, I would pay almost doube for my leads at Securus. Doesn't add up for me. If it does for someone else, go for it. I have many good friends at Securus. If I wasn't satisfied at EFES I would certainly give them a look.

I don't know since I don't manage or recruit, but I believe that Securus may have a better deal if you want to manage and recruit. That's why the the ones that have left EFES for Securus have done so. I don't care about any of that stuff.

I will say this, there has not been one unsuccessful agent with EFES that went to another place and started having success. Not one. There have been successful agents leave EFES and have success elsewhere. There have been unsuccessful agents leave EFES and go to Securus or NAA or Parker, etc. and still not have success. It's funny how all that works.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this thread, but I have had private conversations with some Securus people that are really pissed about this type of thing being brought to their organization and how they are going to have to explain it to potential recruits.

I would be the same way if EFES pulled that crap.

The policies that I write through EFES do not stay with EFES if I leave. I am paid by the companies and am vested from day 1.

Maybe they are going to get them all together and march over to EFES offices Ron Burgandy style.

Sounds as if there might be an interesting story there.Would you mind sharing it with those of us that aren't aware of it or don't know who Ron Burgandy is?

I would hate to live in a world where someone didn't know who Ron Burgandy was.

I think it is Ron Burgundy.

OK.. After a Google search, I take it that it has something to do with a Will Ferrell movie which I have never seen. I thought Newby was referring to something about someone from NAA .. Since I never watch movies (with the exception of old war movies on TV), I am more than a little slow on the uptake when it comes to pop culture references.

Nweby:. You are talking to a guy who still lives in a "Casablanca" world!;) Paul McCartney performed at the Grammy's and the young folks were twittering that they had discovered a wonderful "new" rising star.. What is this world coming to?
