Issues Contracting with EFES

Don't know which is worse....this situation about releases or reselling their DM leads over and over to new inexperienced agents.

JD is about the the only person on this forum praising EFES long term. Others have also praised EFES SHORT TERM, but after a few months, when EFES's true colors are exposed, these agents have changed their views from positive to negative.

JD is a good "silent" recruiter though.:D

The only time a DM lead is ever resold with Equita is if the agent no longer works with them. The agent buying that lead very clearly understands it was previously sold as well. As with any system, EFES is not perfect, but there is no reason to make up stories about how they do business when you have never worked there. As for releases, I have never asked for one, so I can't verify, but I do know they have been granted.

I don't know why an organization just wouldn't release somebody, as long as they didn't have any outstanding charge backs or lead costs...But listen to what Securus did to a guy:

Spoke with a gentlement I met on Linkedin, and he was using Securus and their lead program...He was having problems with getting leads regularly, and after 6 months, asked for a release...They said NO, and he said fine, I'm going to not write business with the carriers he was appointed with for 6 months...

All of a sudden, some of his previous cases were falling off the books..like 15-20 of them...When he contacted the old clients, they said someone had contacted them, and said they could get insurance cheaper, by about a dollar...This agent suspects that Securus had another agent, go back into the homes, and sell them a company that was slightly cheaper...

If this is true, and Securus had given another agent this guys "book of business" to re-sell, that is very Crappy of them...

You are so full of shlt. There are a lot of good decent people who reap praise on EFES.

You on the other hand are the devil in disguise. You befriend seniors, get their guard down and then stick it to them. You rob them and walk away justifying it in your sick mind that they didn't have to give me their scarce money, hehehe. Yea, it was their decision and they made a bad choice trusting you. Pathetic.

And now you try to divert the your evil doings but attacking others like EFES. EFES might charge a couple bucks to cover costs for old DM leads. They have to because they don't make the big bucks screwing seniors like you and and your group do. You can give away old leads because you are getting seniors to greatly overpay to fund it. Nice. Screwing seniors so you can say you have free leads. You are in a sad world.

Hey Newby,

Ive been trying Adam's FexQuotes & noticing LaFayette Life comes up the lowest a lot, over RNA & Foresters. But with my lil exp, I also know that a carrier's process, pay & underwriting comes into play a lot too. So whats the scoop on LL, I havent heard about them on this board in the 6mos Ive been around....why arent they mentioned more if their rates r so good??

I once tried to contract with LL and the recruiter in my area refused to give me a contract without a 1 years production history. I had no problem with this but when I told him that I had not been in the business that long he told me that he would be doing me an injustice and that I should go work with NYL or Mass Mutual to learn the business first. Then come back and see him in a year. I said ok. Personally, I don't see a reason to contract with them for FE.

They won't give me a release, nor did I negotiate one in the beginning.

This is after giving them heaps of praise on this forum, a gushing testimonial, and putting a decent amount of quality business on the books without being a nuisance to my up-line. While, in my view, not upholding their end of the deal (getting me leads consistently).

I don't understand why there is no release, and thank goodness there are comparable FE carriers out there. But I would figure agents that share their non-release experiences would put the brakes on a few quality agents from trying out EFES.

None of it makes any sense, and only seems to hamstring the agent without any added benefit to the upline. It's not like a 6-month restriction reduces any financial risk to the IMO.

I have an upline that I contracted Americo with and I asked for a release and you would have thought that the world ended and I shot the pope. He said he would think about it...that was a month ago...still no release. I "aint" gonna beg anyone for a release. I am not trying to be ugly, unprofessional, or a prick but if you don't want to release me then you are the ugly, unprofessional, and the prick...that is unless you can honestly say that you have provided some benefit to me, like ride with training, scripts, etc. This particular upline offered me no training, and would not let me ride with him to learn the business. I was on my own. I believe the upline should be able to provide some benefit to the downline (unless that was discussed before hand).

On the other hand, I contracted with Todd King and asked for a release and it was granted. He also went the extra mile to insure that I could be released from my new upline if I chose to in the future.

I would suggest anyone contracting with an upline to get a release signed before hand and if they don't want to give it make damn sure you will be where you want to be or contract with a different upline.

LaFayette is a great company and everyone there is very nice.

They really aren't an FE company though. They don't think like an FE company, they don't pay like one and they are very selective about what they will accept.

If an FE agent tried to make them his main carrier, he would get frustrated real quick.
