Issues Contracting with EFES

They don't have Settlers Life, 5-Star Life, LaFayette Life, Baltimore Life, Standard Life, GPM Life and probably two dozen others.

So if any agent thinks that ANYONE can hold them captive in FE sales...he's not trying too hard.

Hey Newby,

Ive been trying Adam's FexQuotes & noticing LaFayette Life comes up the lowest a lot, over RNA & Foresters. But with my lil exp, I also know that a carrier's process, pay & underwriting comes into play a lot too. So whats the scoop on LL, I havent heard about them on this board in the 6mos Ive been around....why arent they mentioned more if their rates r so good??

So what youre saying is they have a rule that they dont release anyone? (sounds kindve like what i was saying).

And that the only way you can get a release is if they break their rules?

How is that the same as

?

So lets say we're in the 'some cases' here

is there a better case than someone who doesnt have any debit balance, minimal training, and never bought a single lead?

I was responding to your saying this;

"Back to the EFES thing, I can tell you from experience that EFES will NOT under any circumstance give you a release. Ever.
"

That's wrong. They have granted releases. I don't know what the conditions were in each case, but I do know that some agents have gotten releases from EFES.

You seem to have a probelm with basic comprehension. Maybe that is the problem with your sitition with EFES?

If I was a manager I would grant releases in every case as long as there was no debt owed to me. And, as soon as that debt was cleared I would release. I'm not trying to say that the no release policy is correct. I was saying that your assertion that it can't be done was wrong.

They won't give me a release, nor did I negotiate one in the beginning.

This is after giving them heaps of praise on this forum, a gushing testimonial, and putting a decent amount of quality business on the books without being a nuisance to my up-line. While, in my view, not upholding their end of the deal (getting me leads consistently).

I don't understand why there is no release, and thank goodness there are comparable FE carriers out there. But I would figure agents that share their non-release experiences would put the brakes on a few quality agents from trying out EFES.

None of it makes any sense, and only seems to hamstring the agent without any added benefit to the upline. It's not like a 6-month restriction reduces any financial risk to the IMO.

I have heard many good things about EFES but this isn't a positive.

Not a whole lot to comprehend, my man. You ask for a release and they either say yes or they say no.

I do, however, have to admit that I am having some difficulty comprehending how it is that you produce as much as you say you do when you spend the amount of time you do on this forum.

And in all seriousness, thats not even a diss. Im impressed.

No need to try and reexplain yourself, im pretty sure we can all read. Its obvious that you dont agree with it but have to try and stick up for them.

And cmon man, obviously no one ever said that it cant be done, my assertion was and still is that it WONT be done. Prove me wrong!

You are still writing business with EFES. What is your complaint?

I assure you JD is the real deal when it comes to production.. Others on the forum have verified it.

That I've asked for a release previously and was denied, and had no choice for the time being but to put this particular business with them, even though I could have gone elsewhere with the self-generated business and gotten 15-20 points higher on these several deals.

EFES *is* a good choice for the new agent and the super-skilled agents like JD. The problem is when you the agent wants to walk because of mishandling on the IMO side of things, and they still stick you with a 6-month wait.

Don't know which is worse....this situation about releases or reselling their DM leads over and over to new inexperienced agents.

JD is about the the only person on this forum praising EFES long term. Others have also praised EFES SHORT TERM, but after a few months, when EFES's true colors are exposed, these agents have changed their views from positive to negative.

JD is a good "silent" recruiter though.:D

You simply cannot tell the truth. It's good for EFES when you trash them because everyone knows that you are dishonest.
