Issues Contracting with EFES

I'm going to rehijack this thread real quick. Just wanted to follow up and say that Travis did contact me, and was very upfront about what EFES can and cannot do for me. He didn't oversell himself like a lot of the other EFES managers or Securus managers I spoke to. His honesty and candor was really appreciated and now I have a lot to think about on the subject of independant vs EFES. Also, Scott was very helpful in following up and getting me the answers to everything else I had questions about. Once I explained to him that I refused to sign a contract without speaking to Travis, he seemed to understand, and suggested ways I could get in contact with him.
Regardless of whether or not I sign with Equita, I have nothing but nice things to say about the experience of being recruited there, discounting yesterday lol.
Thanks everyone for providing information, and helping me out along the way. I appreciate it.
Also, UCLA is going to be a problem next year as far as NCAA is going to be concerned. Anybody who saw the high school all-star games this year can see they are not going to be easily dealth with.

Travis said it perfectly... he simply doesn't have the time to really manage an agent, thats why he has EFES doing the back end work probably because he doesn't have much of a staff...

I joined with Joe Ciaccio... another Regional at Equita. He and his staff have gone above and beyond (I believe) than what even EFES themselves can do.

Just take a look and see for yourself.

I've been around the block... and this time, I'm staying.

Hope this helps... its an easy market to be fooled in.

I was offered 10 points less with Joe than I was with Travis. Personally, I'd rather have the 10 extra points than the staff Joe has. I was given even more of a runaround from Joes team. They contacted me first, and his two secrataries said that Joe would never speak to me until I signed a contract. And he never responded personally like Travis did. Last thing that happened with Joe's team was that his secratary told me that they would call me back with some more information but they never did. I think they figured I wouldn't go for the low contract and when I didn't they just figured I wasn't worth any more time to spend on. So no, that didn't help. But tell Joe if he wants to help himself, he can call Andrew Fanelli back, like his staff said he would a month ago.
So no, that does not help.

You heard Travis explain for himself why he doesn't speak to just anyone. Why would Joe be any different?

Joe produces WAY more than Travis does...

And you are obviously new if you are just chasing commissions around.

Not that it matters, but that is just simply not the truth about the production. In fact, I would doubt that Joe does any production at all.

Joe is a fine fellow and a good manager. You don't seem to be doing him any favors with the way you come across.

Because Joe does not have the stellar rep that Travis has. Also because Joe does not produce more than Travis does; Joe's AGENCY produces more than Travis does. And you'd have to be new AND dumb not to take commissions into account. Joe's secratary didn't even call me back. When I told her that I'd rather be on Travis' team, she called Equita and made a complaint because I was "in Joe's territory."
So it was the commission, yes, but also the fact that I would rather be with somebody who earns their agents through their product rather than what territory they pay Equita for.

Also, does Joe know that you are on the forums recruiting like this? Because it seems to me like you are making him look very bad. I came on here looking for information, and this is about the third thread I've made or posted in looking for information that you've trolled by soliciting. Posting youtube videos of Joe is not helpful. Thank you.

Also, it sounds like you are saying that Travis isn't a great producer, and according to literally everybody I've spoken to, he is one of the best. Even his competitors say so. He makes his money producing. Joe's whole business is based on recruiting, so he should have time to speak to new agents. I'm not badmouthing Joe himself, I am speaking ill of the way I was treated by his staff, who represent him. I'm sure he was a great producer in his own right, but if he's really that great, he needs better staff. Does he know you are on here speaking about him like this?

all i know is EFES managers and recruiters atleast call you back...Larry Dickstein of Securus still hasn't returned my messages from last May...
