KSKJ Life Termination - Cant Sell Final Expense For 2 Years?

Many final expense captive shops require agents to sign noncompetes or nondisclosures, however I've never seen an independent final expense contract that had any kind of noncompete verbiage in it.

This is from a KSKJ contract:

Can anyone confirm or deny if this language is in all their contracts?

I've attached the entire contract below as it was sent to me.

This might just be IMO specific, but still odd to see squeezed into an independent agent contract.

I tend to think that that language was inserted by the IMO, AIMC & not KSKJ.

Have you Googled KSKJ Agent Contract to see if you can find other examples?

I think all AIMC contracting has that in it. Must be something specific to them not KSKJ.

It is odd verbiage but my guess is that its to prevent you from going back and reselling a different product to an existing KSKJ client. Which makes sense.

I dont agree that a company should stop you from replacing business if its in the best interest of the client just because you are/once were appointed with them.
