Legacy from Senior Life. An alternative idea

BK = Bankruptcy (Receivership) ... Settlers did not have divisions. Their problem was the result of a cancer product. On the life, they kept everything in house and did not reinsure. They decided to come out with a cancer product. It was a great product but had the potential to have substantial sized claims so they reinsured it. They laid it off with a Martin Frankel company which was an approved reinsurer. Too bad he was a crook. Took several companies down.

BTW, to all those that put a great deal of credence in an AM Best rating.. Your company may be rated A with Best but what are its reinsurers rated?

Good info Rouse. This is further proof that the AM Best rating is given much more credence than it really deserves.

Guards didn't notice the lack of the ups truck?

I don't know the details, only the here say. I'm sure he could have said for ex. "all the UPS trucks are on the road and I'm an independent contractor", etc. He may have had a UPS magnetic sign made and placed on the side of his car. Who knows?

The bottom like legacy is not guaranteed and in the insurance contract . It can't be backed by the state guaranty fund . It might and it might not come true thus it's just a promise on a piece of paper . We know how many promises turn out . It has nothing to do with selling senior life as it's a separate company . It's a marketing gimmick to sell a high priced product . Those are the facts . Also Greg mentions many fe CO's are selling policy's at to low a premium and will go under . That's irrelevant as the policy will be bought by other company and the contract will be honored word for word .

I had a company (Life Secure, I think) that stole/transferred a couple of my agents. I complained and they wouldn't do anything. I no longer work with that company for this reason. I don't work with crooks!!

Sr Life is not going to be the cheapest in all cases. But they're competitive enough. I'm pretty sure their goal is to make a profit, not be the cheapest premium. That may be the reason a few carriers have exited the FE industry, and others have raised rates, tightened up their health questions, or stop paying commissions on ages 60 and under.

Anyway, here's an example. I'd say this example is pretty competitive wouldn't you?

But don't forget. That lady is ALWAYS a smoker. How much for that?

Don't understand your question. She's a nonsmoker in this example. Of course if she is a smoker the rate would be higher.

You joined Sr Life a few weeks ago. You would have all the info you need to answer your question, right?
