I was reading earlier, these guys on another forum going back and forth about how many crooks there are in South Florida. The truth is, there really are a lot of scum bags down here. There is this dog eat dog mentality that has NO age or race discretion.

This is why we don't work locally

This is how the local LH agency manager can sleep at night even though he is corrupt and knows 100% that his agent's are being trained to sell in the spirit of corruption.

I've lost cases to clean sheeted apps, but don't like the idea of knowing someone will not collect if they kick it, in two years.

Rather than starting a new thread, I would like to ask the full time and near full time FE agents, if they think that they're making less $$ by not clean sheeting?

Not a chance! It's so much easier to sell clean when you have a variety of carriers to chose from. When the client is in doubt, I like to make a big deal about how everything we do is on the up and up and how I will earn their business by being honest, and giving them competitive rates.

I also like to point out our website address on my business card for them.

Of course we make less money because we don't clean sheet. To say otherwise is absurd. The average FE client doesn't have a clue as to what type of product they qualify for. They want to pay as little as possible for as much benefit as possible. So when a LH scumbag walks in behind me and replaces my business by clean sheeting (doesn't happen often admittedly) I lose out.

This a short term phenomenon though. Those of us that work hard and are honest will win out in the end. Those same folks that are clean sheeting are likely to be found out eventually.

Also - it would appear to me that with the advances in technology it is going to become more and more difficult for these agents to sneak these cases through.

Working clean gives you longevity. I'm in year 19 going on 20. I've seen those guys come an go. There is only one in my area that works dirty that has been at it multiple years. And he has lost some companies over it.
