So, how bout something else? I would like something I can start this week on. I'm looking to replace a part time jobs income so I can be selling insurance 40+ hours a week.

I would look some place else besides insurance.

Insurance isn't something you can decide to do in the morning and begin making money that afternoon. It is a real job/profession that does have a learning curve.

Would you be comfortable doing business with someone who knew nothing about what they were selling and hadn't taken the time to learn?

No, I would not. That's why I'm not gonna hop on the phone and pound annuities like some of the IMO's suggest I do. Make it sound real easy...just gather their financial data, call them back, they will "put something together" for my client, and I simply go present it.

Maybe I was a bit over the edge with getting on the phone this week...it was just push back on the pot insurance comments...

I'm excited to be in this business...I'm here to stay...but I need to make some $$$ too...that's why I was looking for a real niche product, easier/quicker sale, low commission...

I appreciate your concern for the business you are in...I agree with it. I was in mortgages as a career when the sales managers raided cellphone kiosks for new desk jockeys...

I just sat on a webinar where they taught a one call close for annuities. They have a magic question for you to ask the client...then pull out the app and start writing. The "new guy" using the technique they are teaching is 93 of 93...who believes stuff like that???

So far med sups, accidental death & term to friends and family have been offered (Pot ins, leaving the business, staying out of small towns were also offered). Any others?

It would be to find something else for now. If you need the money NOW, it won't happen. It takes time to learn some basic product knowledge and find prospects. It takes even more time after submitting to get paid.

You want a niche product that it is easy for you to understand, easy to explain, and easy for your client to understand, look into a lump sum critical illness policy.

Assurity has a good simplified issue one.
