Not really. It's "to the Republic for which I stand," because the republic is supposed to guarantee liberty. We merely have a democratic component that, if the voters don't wise up, can change the republic so that liberty is no longer guaranteed. In fact, it's already happened to a certain extent.

"I see" said the blind man....lol. Uh oh......is this one of them "political correct" things? If so I meant no harm to anyone. I never got a trophy for being on the last place team when I was growing up...lol.

Hey brother, none of us were born racists. WE ALL WERE TAUGHT IT!!! Now that we are adults and held accountable for our own actions, we cannot use our ignorance as an excuse any longer. Sometimes the bonds that tie our families together are so strong, we are afraid to reject some of those teachings which we now know were flat out lies and wrong.
Who taught it to the first racist?

I learned a long time ago the term Chief is a derogatory term, same as Squaw, to the Native Americans. So I stopped using it. That has not harmed me in any way.
So, if you call a person who is actually a "Chief" of his tribe, "Chief" that is derogatory?
