My 1st LH Client!!

Well, it is not quite what I had envisioned... The statement conjured up an image of an agent standing on the door, shouting, "package delivery" when he rang the doorbell.. Since the resident would know immediately that wasn't the case when they opened the door, I didn't see how that would work.. In fact, it might result in bodily injury!

:laugh:Right!! The one we have are the ones that look like UPS delivery notices. Agents are taught to not answer the phone when they call and to just go back there because you know they are home.

I hate to use them because I think they are misleading and I don't want to start off that way with the person. I do very little doorknocking anyway and only as a last resort.

There are agents that swear they have great success with those door notices. They should keep doing it if it works for them.

Not my cup of tea.

:D Misleading! Ha! Ha! The Final expense mailers we use are misleading , even if it says insurance, a lot of people think that it is FREE insurance. Or they are going to get the info in the mail, for FREE. Or it is a government benefit they can qualify for at no cost (for FREE).

You're right. That's why I prefer TV leads for FE.

The mailers we use are not misleading. Even if someone thinks they are it's not like leaving a package delivery notice at their door.

If someone thinks that's the way to go and it works for them, have at it.

How much are Tv leads Greg?

$29 each.....sometimes they're less than 24 hours old when you work them. But most of the time they are 2 days - 7 days old which is great. Much fresher than most DM leads.

I can ave. 6-9 sales per 20 TV leads contacted using tele-sales.
I can ave. only 4-6 sales per 20 DM leads using tele-sales.

They were $28 each back when I got them from LH. I'm sure they have gone up. They were the very worst leads I've ever worked.. The people claimed they didn't call and you had no verification.

Every agent I knew with LH at the time hated the TV leads. ome wouldn't even take them.

It's not that the EFES-version is necessarily misleading... it's that the headline (which is why 80% respond to any marketing) says the buzz words "Supplement Government Benefit."

That's why most send it in because they're curious as to what that means. Curiosity doesn't necessitate need, as why most leads aren't much to work anyway.

I don't find that to be the case with the people I see. Sure, every now and then I get that response, but only like maybe one out of twenty.

I'd wager you're experience is the exception to the rule.

To clarify, a big bunch of the leads -- EFES or Securus -- are just "curious" -- for whatever reason (free literature, gov't benefit).

With that said, it DOES work if you work the system.

In the meantime, JD, send some of those smart people in your neck of the woods down to my territory!!! LOL
