No FFM Number Will Be Issued

Unfortunately for a lot of agents this time, it does appear that our omniscient forum leader TaterPeeler is correct. That latest CMS link posted by Duaine contains information that the prior CMS training from early August omitted.

The UserName that agents create when registering at the CMS PORTAL will be the "Federally-Facilitated Marketplace User ID", that will be entered alongside your National Producer Number on Exchange applications.

The CMS Agent/Broker Resources & Training page contains the updated Mid-August training "slide deck", and the prior one from August 1st. It's a good idea to visit this page periodically, because new items are added and there's never any little word "NEW!" next to the newest items. They just appear.

My FFM UserID is simple and clean. Not a big deal. But I wonder if it will be possible for some agents to change theirs, if it's raunchy..or forgotten?

Allen, I wondered the same thing about people that will want to change their username because they created some obscene or absurd username. Mine is clean and simple as well, actually the same as my user name here.

I looked through all 50+ slides, which page on the deck are you referring to?

All hail the Almighty TaterPeeler!

That doesn't say that is what will be used on applications. I'm still not sold.

If CMS was "broker friendly", they would have shown more decency by placing wording like this on the CMS Agent/Broker Resource page, before Step II went live at the CMS Portal:

"Due to the overwhelming amount of resources we have had to devote to getting the Exchanges prepared, we have scrubbed the task of assigning unique FFM ID's to each Agent/Broker. Instead, we are giving each of you the freedom to create your own, easy to remember, FFM User ID! Therefore, when choosing this ID at the start of the Identity Verification (Step II of II) process at https://portal.cms.gov , choose something easy to remember and appropriate for sharing with your new clients. Thanks and much success to each of you!"

Allen, that was, by far, the funniest post I've seen on these threads in WEEKS.... :)

Hey everyone. This is my 1st time posting in this forum. I just received notification from Humana to fill out and return a 1 page form along with a copy of your certificate of completion of the Marketplace training. The form asks for your Humana SAN, your NPN and your "Federally-Facilitated Marketplace Used ID".

This MUST be submitted in order for agents to receive compensation from Humana for IMM products offered in the federally facilitated OR State-based Marketplace.

I reckon that answers the question - Who will be embarassed by their Username ID?
