Opinions on My Updated Site

Paid for a facelift on the site, got the dmiller treatment, now doing my legwork necessary for pagerank.....I'm pretty happy with the overall look,functionality but it's my site....what's a new visitor going to like/dislike?Pennsylvania Independent Insurance Agency - Auto - Home - Life - Health

Just my opinion...but there are so many colors and concepts to consider the second you see the home page. 12 color pictures is a lot.

Maybe that's good. I'm curious what others think.

With all of the images on this first page will that have a negative effect on SEO? I think it will.

I immediately thought that it looked great and was colorful and pleasant. It made me want to see what each block said. I guess different strokes for different folks.

One more thing I just noticed:

The first line should be "Get A" not an.
(it's on your quote page)

Thanks for the honest feedback guys, not sure I really wanted to hear that but....

We all know what they say about opinions. We can all weigh in, but unless we're your target market, I'm not sure you need the opinions of a bunch of agents. The only thing that really matters is what your prospects and customers think of the site and if the site attracts and converts them.

Here are a few ideas:

1. Show it to a few customers. If you can, peek over their shoulder to see how they use the site. It's amazing what you can learn by watching a real customer use your site.

2. Install Google Analytics or some other tracking program and watch how people are using the site. Are they getting to the pages you want them to?

3. Take a look at Steven Krug's book "Don't Make Me Think". It'll give you some good ideas on what's important in design and what's not.

Perhaps. You could just stuff some keywords in the alt tag.
