And You can say it 7 times, and you'll still be FOS.

*I* like Robert Kiyosaki. Yes, he had a business bankruptcy. So did Trump (x4). In fact Trump and Kiyosaki co-wrote books together.

Either you are self-employed (as I am), or you're a business owner (a business that operates on systems and leveraged labor) and works almost in spite of you.

An interesting discussion. I wonder what they would say about leveraging technology, automation, artificial intelligence etc as opposed to leveraging only labor?

I've created so many automations and integrations in our business that it would take a number full time employees to do what our system does automatically. Now I had to create those systems myself (as a self employed entrepreneur) but once they were set up, it's like having a full time staff that requires no pay, no benefits, doesn't call in sick etc.

Of course, you can't replace every position with automation.... yet.

We keep a low overhead by hiring full time Virtual Assistants, temp contract workers (say if I want a new logo, I don't holler down to Brian in Design, I just hire someone on Fiverr or Upwork or if I need someone to write the code to create a real time reporting API between the carriers and our system, I do the same), and we hire many digital marketing agencies for fulfillment of multiple projects.

I've seen the inefficiency and incompetence of full time staff workers long enough to believe our model is more efficient and cost effective than hiring a bunch of employees.

So I send out no W4s, pay no FICA (other than my own), no benefits etc. But I think you'd be hard pressed to not call our business a business.

One of my goals is to grow to 20 million before we ever need that kind of business model. A true Virtual Agency. And a system that can be replicated by like minded entrepreneurs.

Going bankrupt isn't an accomplishment. I like to read business books written by people who didn't go bankrupt.

Nothing wrong with it as long as the book is "How to get rich without going bankrupt" or "What I learned from going Bankrupt". I have the problem when they claim their way is the righteous way. Look at it this way. I'm going to write a book on how to build a new home and be debt free in 2 years. Sound good? I honestly know how to do this. Spend a few years building your credit up until you have enough credit available on credit cards. Build said house using credit cards. Default on credit cards and file bankruptcy. There you go, the whole book. Now it's a valid strategy. Not my fault you have too much integrity to follow my lead.

Whatever dude. We know what the deal is and we know you're wrong. But it doesn't matter. Follow Kiyosaki as far down that hole as you want to. None of us really care. However, one thing you can't do is push your new found ignorance on us!

Completely 1000% agree. Having proper methodologies is like using a fulcrum or a pulley to get certain jobs done.

Anthony Melchiorri of Travel Channel's Hotel: Impossible show often refers to the hotel business being "systems of systems". Without systems (or for us - model methods) you cannot succeed if you're reinventing the wheel every time.

Anyway, I know some of you guys have beef with @NSRH. I'm not going to get in the middle of that because I don't have knowledge on that. But for bringing up Kiyosaki, regardless of his business success, I've found value in his books.
