Post-Corona, Preparing for Normalcy

I like to cut a head into four quarters leaving the core in to hold it all together, I cook it in a few cups of chicken brother for hours - makes it nice and etnder. Then turn the quarter so the round edge is on the plate, salt, pepper, and then let the butter melt in.

It is the closest I can come to being a vegetarian.
I prefer cabbaged "fried" in bacon grease. My wife puts bacon grease in the skillet, adds some water, puts the cut cabbage in, adds salt and pepper; covers the skillet and lets it cook until tender.. Best cabbage I have ever eaten..

We have term limits... They are called elections... The people from each district should have the right to choose represents them..

except now we have votes from Donald Duck, Also My mother in laws sister used to do work for DNC going into poor neighborhood's and getting people who didn't care and didn't have a clue about politics to get to the polls and vote their way

It's a different world than 20 or so years ago

I don't know if they passed it or not but they wanted to allow votes from Ilegal immigrants and Felons

I know a few years ago they were trying to push voting by mail to really mess with the system

Nancy said money for voting by mail would be in the next stimulus package...

I like it that was too! I love me cabage boil and fried and all manner of so long as it involves salt and fat.

New York state issued a blanket do-not-resuscitate directive last week instructing first-responders not to try to revive patients without a pulse amid increased call volumes and lack of resources during the coronavirus public health crisis, according to a report.

Paramedics were previously told to attempt to resuscitate a patient found in cardiac arrest for up to 20 minutes, the New York Post reported.

The new order is "necessary during the COVID-19 response to protect the health and safety of EMS providers by limiting their exposure, conserve resources, and ensure optimal use of equipment to save the greatest number of lives,'' according to a memo issued last week by the state Department of Health.

The memo insisted similar guidelines have been issued "in many areas of the U.S. as well as other locations throughout the world."

"These changes are based on standards widely agreed upon by the physician leaders of EMS Regional Medical Control Systems across NYS and the Medical Standards Committee of the State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council," a health department spokesperson said in a statement.

This comes after the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council of New York, which oversees the city's ambulance service, instructed paramedics last month not to bring patients whose hearts could not be restarted at the scene into hospitals already overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients. That directive meant first responders could still try to revive patients at the scene for up to 20 minutes.

"They're not giving people a second chance to live anymore,'' Oren Barzilay, the president of Local 2507, Uniformed EMT's, Paramedics & Fire Inspectors Union, told the Post. "Our job is to bring patients back to life. This guideline takes that away from us."

This DNR order was scrapped as it was excessive. I also never heard of the "emergency morgues" being used either. New York also never ran out of ventilators to my knowledge. But boy oh boy, did that stuff make for great t.v.

Had to look it up and see that is now has been rescinded Saying it does not meet our standard, I guarantee they all approved it before it went into effect, It could not have just went into effect without approval and thought behind it, and only rescinded due to push back

The fact that they even tried to do it shows they will do what they can get away with

Also, this went on for at least a week beforehand and is probably still in effect
