Replacing Business

I think the main purpose would be to make the process as easy as possible for the member.

Your absolutely right about every agent being able to do what they do and more.

But.. I've been in FE business for a while. I have spoken with many agents and I never run into any that do. None. Nor have I ever ran into a policyholder that said the company they were with provided this service.

Actually reading on this forum is the only place I have ever heard that agents help with the funeral process. I seriously thought my agency was the only one that did.

I've done two this month. One was a family I met with and never sold anything to. Other was a client of mine.

But Dignity will try to steal your clients too.

I know their coach very well. He is a hell of a coach. He took over mis season last year and led that team to the tourney and probably gave UK the toughest game.

This year the team didn't come around until late. They are playing their best ball right now. Ray Harper won 4 NCAA D-2 titles and one NAIA national Championship.

They have a real tall order here in their first game. I don't think they can win it but I would never bet against Ray Harper.

IU gave Ky their toughest game. I love arguing with you.

I always hear about Dignity stealing clients. It's is and is not true. Again, half truths being made to be fact through ignorance. Lol

The truth is there "was" a manager for them that would pass the info onto an agency to develop leads. That was found out and he was terminated. Since then, they have had zero complaints regarding that.

Again, like we blame carriers for deviant agents, we blame dignity for one bad apple.

Did you all know that American Amicable had a huge...huge lawsuit against them also? Truth not that...a completely different division many many years ago. But AmAm is still a good company.

We have used Dignity for years. Not once have we had any issues at all with them. Not once.

I wish people would learn all the facts before they run their mouth on here because it severely effects agents thought process's.

I don't even know if it's true that one manager was replacing business. Your post is the first I've heard of it. I think the rumors go all the way back to one of my posts 4-years ago explaining that the information for the Dignity enrollments gets filed in the file system of the Preneed files at the Dignity funeral home IF a funeral home is selected. The manager/friend that I spoke with about it definitely was aware of the cases I had sent through the system. He was not working them in any way BUT the fact that he and his 7-sales people had access to them was alarming to me.

This guy is trustworthy (to a point, like everyone) but they are in direct competition with us. They are on a hunt every day to find seniors that want to use their funeral home and want to plan in advance AND do something that we can't offer, lock in their funeral cost. Some of those agents in those funeral homes do get very pressured to produce and could be tempted.

Again, I don't know of a single case of a problem. But I'm not real comfortable having commissioned insurance agents who are in direct competition with me having access to my recent sales to the exact same people that they are trying to market to ESPECIALLY when they can offer guarantees that we can't offer that can be very attractive to many people.

Maybe I'm just a little too paranoid. Dignity, like most companies has all sorts of people working for them. Some very high quality. Others so vile and disgusting they have made the national news. Sales agents raiding the Preneed files and flipping business wouldn't even make their radar screen of bad things they have done through the years.
