Royal Neighbors Changes

Companies that don't do a PHI seem safer than companies that call back when I'm not there.

Maybe its my experience level but I still get some declines during the PHI. I always do a trial run through the medical questions on the app so I can correct people who like to talk too much by reminding them to listen closely and answer only yes/no. The problem is no matter what some people are either too stupid, don't listen, don't comprehend, don't remember or lie when I ask and I don't want to lose that business because I wasn't there when it hit the fan.

I'm not in a place right now where I would trust being able to get back in front of someone after they get declined when I'm not there to save the case and change gears with a different carrier.

I like RNA but now I rank them slightly higher than MOO.

Holy crap.... I am in the TwiLight ZONE....:D:D

Haha!:D The Settlers were pretty much have to use them cases but I wrote 6 applications yesterday, 2 AmCon, 2 Settlers and 2 Trinity. 0-RNA. Last week was 4 Trinity and 1 Foresters.

I asked RNA if they just wanted out of the FE business. They say "no" but their actions say yes.

I did the POS interview today, I looked at the old app and decided she might get their graded policy which was better than anything else I could get her O2 COPD, Must have read the app wrong because after 35 minutes, Bang a decline.

Sent in an app on another client on Friday (paper app) , called today as the policy was still pending this a.m. he will be called today or tomorrow.

No more business going to RNA from me..

Jeesh! I did 2 apps yesterday on a husband and wife and he was approved but the wife was a big fat decline. The entire phone process was about 43 minutes total. If you had seen these people's faces while they were on the call. They were so antsy. They couldn't wait for this phone call to be over. When the interviewer said decline for the wife, we all looked at each other like a cow at a new gate. I checked all of her prescriptions and nothing was on the list. The wife was now on a mission trying to see what prescriptions were written for her previously. She was shocked and kinda upset that she went through all of that on the phone only to be declined. It's rare this happens to me when someone is declined, especially on a phone interview, but when it does, I ask the interviewer which question had the discrepancy. The interviewer said she could not go back to previous screens to see which question was the problem; I needed to call RNA. When I called New Business, they could not find the applicant's phone interview information. The underwriter said she has to call me back. RNA WAS one of my favorites, but oh well. There are plenty other carriers to choose from. I just hope they all don't decide to go through this long phone interview.

Whats street level with trinity? I think I read 115% and 7% renewals?

I think it's 110% and 8.75% renewals. Could be off a bit?

Right now they have a 5% commission bonus going on but I beleive that ends Dec 31.

They also do a 5% lead credit but I believe that doesn't start until $5000 ap for the month.

FYI, I tried clicking on your website and it didn't connect! I bet everybody is curious about your "Fixed Cost Lead"!

Thanks for letting me know I've been in a chat with Hostgator for last 1.5 hours trying to get it fixed! Looks like a day or two:1mad:

Similar experience with me!! I ended up writing with Aetna. The cost was within a dollar but no Rx check or MIB. S***ked having to do two PHI's but at the end day made the client happy and made the sale. Aetna's PHI only lasts 10-15 min.

AmCon's might last 15 minutes if you are doing a husband and wife. For one person it's always less than 10 minutes for me. Usually 6 or 7 minutes from dial to policy number.

Trinity is fast too. Trinity is usually quicker than AmCon's. If you are going to do a phone interview, that's the way to do it.

If they would have just told me they don't do partials from the beginning I would have been fine and gone on to another carrier. BUT no one there had no clue they didn't accept partials until I tried to run one through.

I had a conference call with my team about this sort of thing the other night. This business is hard enough as it is, so why complicate things even further by dealing with carriers that add to the difficulties. I see the reports of placement and persistency, and the agents using the HARD TO DEAL WITH CARRIERS, consistently have the worst placement and persistency.

Deal with carriers that make your life easy and don't cost you time and money.

Give me a run down of your easiest carriers to deal with.

I prefer phi companies, just not the ones that call back when I am not there. I just keep it simple. Write only companies that do a phi on the spot while Im in the home, works for me.
