Selling term life for big .com?

There are a few things that are needed to be a successful Life agent and working over the phone:
  • A web based contact program that will quote and have paperless apps
  • Exclusive Life Insurance Leads (no cherrying picking)
  • Excellent Training on a system that works
  • High Commisions with annualization on bank draft
There isn't a week that goes by that I don't make daytime sales with Life Insurance. I agree that most sales will be done in the evening. For myself, I call between 4pm-6pm PST and I am done for the night.
Another time that always produces sales for me is Saturday morning at 7am-9am PST. Every Saturday I have called has yielded sales.

I have spent 26 years in our industry and done the face to face and just this year 100% on the phone. There is no comparison to the amount of business I can write- I write 4-5 times more on the phone in a fraction of the time. I spend no money on gas for my car, no longer are in traffic jams for an hour or more, and am able to coach my son in baseball, go on field trips with him and my wife, and have a better quality life.

I will never do face to face again. I had some friends at my church ask me to come to their house to go over some life insurance options. I said we can do everything over the phone and through email and fax. After I finished writing them up, they admitted to me, that the process was so simple!

Anyone that does face to face owes it to themselves and family to take a look at the new technology that can take your business to the next level.

Good info. I haven't seen very many traditional term contracts that offer an online app. Are you selling simplified issue plans? Where are you purchasing leads?

Marker77. I am also new to the business, and would like to learn more about selling over the phone. I have a offer to work for "big.com". They want $500, also want a comp business liability coverage. That seems like it runs around $600-$700. So the real cost is around $1200 for the first 45 leads. Part of the small print says you must sell at least 1 every 7 days, or your leads drop to 0. Does this sound correct?
