Starter Checks?

Went and wrote the policy today and took the starter check. i figure like goillini said, at least i secured the sale if they dont accept it. but if JD is right, there shouldnt be any problem :-)

btw...counter checks?

A long time ago the banks had counter checks that were for their banks customers that stores could have on hand. The grocery stores, taverns, etc. used to have them in case you forgot your checkbook. I think they were mostly in the smaller towns where everybody knew each other. I can't imagine a store taking one from someone they didn't know. Those were more trusting times.:twitchy:

Congrats on the sale!

Heck they won't even take imprinted checks now.....I can't imagine anyone taking a counter check except in the case of an existing customer paying a bill that way.

When I was kid I didn't know there was such a thing as an imprinted check.
