I feel obligated to remind everyone that god had nothing to do with the start or end of aep. It was Congress and CMS. So you can thank Congress/CMS that AEP is ending. You can thank god for cancer. Rick

The last 2 weeks have been insane. Lot's of 12/1 start dates. Glad that's over. Now, we are dealing with the procrastinators, which I don't get excited to help out.
This year my challenge was return calls. My assistant was amazing and handled 90% of the issues, but 10% needed me. I fell behind because I had no breaks for calls during the day. In fact, I couldn't even take a bathroom break! After all my appointments, the last thing I wanted to do was get on the phone, I just wanted to go lay down. Next year, I'm blocking out time for calls.
Other than that, it has been a profitable AEP for me.

I have spent too much time calling carriers for technical issues changes and corrections.

Help with organizing or staying organized.

Inputting deals into CRM.

these things are so time consuming now.

Especially this year I've found I have had a lot of clients calling with lost cards and just little things galore.

I could double my Business with a good a assistant

I am noticing a lot of emails and voicemails today and yesterday but all in all, not too bad

I would have been dead in the water without her. There is not enough time to process the apps. I spent 3 hours on a Saturday just doing paperwork for my Friday out appointments and my 1 Saturday appointment. I couldn't do it alone. The rest of the year she kicks back and surfs the net, but during 4th quarter she earns every penny she makes!

Same story for me. The only ones that switched were my humana ppo clients. A little less than half wanted to switch. All went to a supplement.

Last two days got a lot of people calling and emails wanting to do last minute changes. Mostly referrals though :-)

Surprisingly nearly all of my Humana PPO stayed put. I think a few did switch to med supps though. If they want to switch to another PPO there isn't a better option.
This AEP I definitely did more med supps than ever. 2 more today

Absolutely the best AEP and year I've ever recorded. Yes many late nights and my 9 year old son looks older every time I see him. Ready for the January vacation then right back to it keeping the momentum going.
