The biggest missing link, is that all these tech companies who will try to invent something like this, still wont understand how to sell. This is final expense folks, not car insurance.
A top level salesperson would need to be in on this.
Is this possible, sure.... is something like this likely to work, probably not.
I would say you are partially correct. Sales strategies and techniques can be researched and implemented with technology. Psychology can be implemented into the script. Rates and underwriting for multiple carriers can be implemented. While the AI my not be the top in the industry, it can likely be programmed for better than average which would remove the need for 80% of the agents which may be enough to remove the entire producer model. Removal of the producer model would alleviate commissions, licensing, debit balances, churning, replacements, and all kinds of other costs/issues for a carrier.
What the AI will not be able to do is capture the human element of someone in the home speaking to the client. Currently, this still has a great value with individuals, though with social media and the tech trend, people may not want to deal with people soon.
I think a huge hurdle for Google is in speech recognition for different dialects. Some of my clients have to pay for a long distance call to reach me, so I set up a google number in their area. Google used to convert my voice mails to text, then email the message to me. It was downright comical to see how the bot interpreted what it was hearing! I just figured it doesn't speak Southern.I agree to an extent. My only caveat is that there is really no customer base like the final expense market. When I think tech, I dont think... "lets find low income, elderly people, who are marginalized and on government assistance", and capitalize on that.
Trully, the final expense market, Obama Phones, and SEP MA plans are the only market for this demographic. And two out of those three dont even require payment from the consumer.
Not being rude, or prejudice, but this has been my experience in the market.

How are they marginalized?
Quoting yourself is cheating.I know, Ill be disappointed, lol
Not through google but other providers. Ive seen the system dial on 100,000 leads and front calls, ask qualifying questions, and transfer to a live agent. It takes all information from them and can api that over as well. Like an avatar call without a human controlling it. As far as the backend stuff goes I dont see why companies would be far from using this technology, except some dont even have e apps yet so you never know LOL.
Yeah my whole feeling upon seeing it was that its a quick way to get into a ton of troubleYou can not do this legally anymore . . .
