Tucker Carlson Interview

I watched it. The guy is extremely hostile to all health insurance companies (and presumably agents who represent them).

I did find it interesting his explanation of how OON providers bill health insurers. He said they always demand a fee 3x the reasonable amount since they know they're only going to get reimbursed for 1/3 of what they ask for. And he claims providers have to be aggressive debt collectors these days for unpaid deductibles, or else the insurers won't pay them anything. He mainly had Group Employer & non-Medicare individual health plans in mind, but singled out UHC for their MA claims practices.

He doesn't accept any kind of health insurance for his own medical practices and believes the cash only (concierge?) model is the future of healthcare.

It was an entertaining interview, like Tucker Carlson's always are.

Millionaire and billionaires now control our government and see health insurance, Medicare and Medicaid social security as a huge waste, all 4 are on the chopping block

A few take aways . . .

Buhler keeps touting gross revenue of health insurance carriers, "big pharma", PBM's. etc and paints it as if that is prima facie evidence that the markup is excessive.

I would like to know where he get's his "stats". Anyone can make up numbers but to they ever back it up with hard data?

Cash only clinics are not new but they are not the wave of the future.

It's all fun and games until these anti-insurance clowns realize EXACTLY how much it costs to pay for people's healthcare…..

"We don't need those greedy insurers! We're gonna revolutionize healthcare!"

Fast forward two years and they're operating almost exactly like an insurer and they're almost bankrupt.

It costs almost 6 TRILLION dollars to pay for everyone's healthcare, yearly. The USA doesn't even take that much money in, in a year.
