Where To Find Agent Appointments With Other Carriers?

You know. All this talk about leads reminds me of when I was a teenager. Maybe like 13.

My grandfather had an insurance office I would work in on summer vacation. His office was this old house right across the street from the post office. It had this shed next to it that he converted to a mail house in the back.

Every summer I would sit in that hot shed and print out a bunch of these thick stock papers fold them a certain way and stuff them in an envelope. Then I'd put stickers on the envelope with someone's name on it and put them in this big box, then take them all to the post office at the end of every day.

One day I was starving and like man…. My grandfather won't let me take a lunch until I've worked at least four hours. To hell with this thing that licks the envelopes for me. I'm going to lick these myself. Boom. Paper cut. Ruined that whole summer.

I didn't realize those were direct mail pieces he was printing and mailing out until my first day in this business. Never once did I take the time to read one.
Got my first batch of leads and was like oh?? That's what those were.

Then I start doing the math. Hmmm. 6 dollars and hour and I stuffed thousands of these a day. Why are these $12 each!!???? Hahahaha.

You simply do not know what you are talking about. It's no wonder you continue to struggle after all these years. You are just uncoachable and refuse to listen.

So I don't know what I'm talking about. Oh ok.

How come you won't tell us how specifically how FEX agents get people to ANSWER their telephones?

You're the one who wines, deflects, name calls, insults agents on this forum.

You refuse to answer, explain in detail.

You make blanket statements without backing it up with details.

How come ?

Here comes more name calling,insults……

People here have you figured out dude, all it takes is a little reading comprehension and common sense.

Lol.

You don't expect JD to help the competition do you?

He's over at KFC right now yelling at them to give him the secret recipe so he can open his own Chicken Restaurant.

Yeah it happens. I've had days when I've drove around and not sold anything. I guess I just do it backwards from you. I drive there first. And call as a last resort. A lot of appointments I make don't honor the appointment. I'd say more than half from my personal experience. Which is why I prefer to door knock.

No shows happen. That's typically when I will door knock. However, I may get one or two no shows, if I set a full day of 8 appointments.

In other words, if you're getting that many no shows, you're not setting the appointment correctly.

And I agree that I have a higher close ratio on door knocks vs appointments. But the difference isn't high enough to warrant me switching to strictly knocking. Especially when you consider the fact that I'm working mostly rural leads.

It's not as complex as you think. Call the leads, use the script, and set the appointment.

I call through my fresh leads Saturday morning. I set as many appointments as I can. If I don't have a full day, I'll dial through my older leads and book the remaining slots.

I call my leads until I have 8 appointments on Monday. Usually takes me about 90 minutes on average.

This business is very simple. It's not necessarily easy, but it's simple.

I'm doing quite well DK'ing. I did over $300K last year on 15 leads per week almost all DK'ing.

I'm just at a point in my career that I don't want to be on a schedule. I know I'm being inefficient when I'm out DK'ing and am OK with it.
Don't understand .. If you are taking the same number of leads and not working any more hours and writing as much or more business door knocking how can door knocking be less efficient?

Maybe we're working a different market. We must be dealing with different people. Because if I set 8 appointments 6 don't go through. I don't know what I could possibly say differently to get an appointment to actually keep it.

I make my appointments at the door. If I get there and can't get in right then I'll set a date to come back. Maybe that's why.
But I've been doing this a long time and I'd say maybe half ever honor the appointment. And that's a stretch.

That's amazing. 90 minuets and you set 8 appointments. I think maybe you're just exceptionally good at booking appointments and having them actually honor it.

I'm one of the owners of the FexContracting agency. And I'm personally not a great appointment setter so I would believe as you do if I haven't watched it for the last 10-years.

My business partner is probably the best appointment setter I've ever seen. And he trains all of our agents. And a LOT of them get really good at it. They all call their leads and set appointments off of them every Saturday morning. And have for over 10-years.

It's real. But don't tell Noah.
