Who is Best?

I have sold final Exp, pre need, funeral trust & such in the past and want to get back into this field. Who is the best to go with? Securus, PHR, EFES, Hakim, Prosurity & so on. Anyother places to check out before I make my choice? Who has best lead system? Who's the good, the bad and who's truly ugly to work with out there? I want to make one choice and stick with it. I really don't want to work with several IMO's. Thanks in advance for all who respond.

How much training do you need, how much money do you have to invest in marketing, do you have ambition to create a downline in the future, and what is your preferred method of prospecting?

Not really much training needed, but I am always open to here others pitch. Don't know if I want down line of other agents or not. Leads are either mail, telemarketing, press one, voice broadcasting etc. I really don't care as long as the system works. And I as everyone else want to spend as little cash as possible. But I will pay if it's a good system. EFES seems to look good for a constant flow of leads, and Hakim states they are free? So I guess they must be using some sort of phone program? This is why I'm asking as to who has used them, how did it work out, etc.

You're going to have to decide if you want to be independent or captive, but it sounds like you want leads so you're going to be stuck captive.

I know a few guys that are doing very well with Securus as well as EFES, but that doesn't mean they're right for everyone.

You might want to give Todd King a call. If you go with him you'll be independent and responsible for your own leads, but he has some lead sources folks have been doing well with and if you're not relying on your upline for leads you're probably in a better spot than being at the mercy of what's going on up the food chain.

You are also independent with EFES. Not saying that Todd is not also a good choice.

There is no "best" as the op is asking.

Thanks for the correction. How does being independent work when you have their leads?

If I'm not mistaken he's explained that numerous times on the forum unless it has changed.

I don't think it would be advantageous to write for carriers who you aren't contracted with under EFES if you work with the EFES model because the more you put with EFES, the EFES lead prices supposedly come down and your comp goes up by submitting business with them.

Writing outside that business model would be like trying to get to your butt from your elbow. :twitchy:

And BTW that works for almost every IMO,FMO or whatever you want to call them. You will never get an increase in comp from any of them unless you are submitting business to them regardless of who you sign up with. The more business you stick in one place the more you tend to be rewarded. Welcome to the insurance business. In fact, welcome to capitalism. Pretty much how any job or career works. Performance = reward

Now if the OP can show their past proven performance, that might get him/her a higher comp to start out over someone who has no track record to stand on.

Efes passively aggressively keeps you "captive". Sure write it somewhere else but you'll get raked across the coals.

If you need 'training' it's really not a bad place to start. If you want higher contracts and better leads there are far better options out there IMHO

This may come as a surprise to you, but I have actually somehow managed to miss these numerous times he's explained it.
