It will be interesting in the campaigns to see how this debate is structured. Europe crumbling with entitlements does provide conservatives with some leverage.

Your assuming the majority of the public cares or is smart enough to think about how this can effect this country....I'm in Maine and I believe we reached a tipping point many years ago. You take all the state,county, municipal employees, school district employees, those on state benefits and the quasi non-profits that derive all their income from the state and you reach a point that more people than not recieve something for the state and they will continue to vote in the politicians that promise to do more for them regardless of the cost.
