It's 2 weeks before Christmas. Just curious, is anyone doing anything different selling during the holiday season.

Nothing different, just staying focused on staying busy! Wrote almost $4k in AP today! All door knocks on some old leads from October.

Mostly by phone. With a "emergency" only f2f. Next week I shut down on Thursday. I will work the last week on a need to see me only basis.

I stop selling around the 15th, sometimes a week before in December- I been in this business going on 14 years- yes, others will tell you that December is wide open because nobody works it blah, blah blah.. nobody works it because you'll get the same line over and over... "Can you come back next month, Christmas kinda broke me this year, with as many grand babies I have and all..."
You'll get a sale, no doubt- but December is basically my vacation month anyways- I bust ass Jan-Nov with a family 1 week vacation in there somewhere and take from the Dec 10th - Jan 3 or so....
If you catch them at the tail end of Nov or early December- your sales will higher at that week then any other week in December

I spend most of December doing my refresher courses, training classes, etc.. Also pretty busy kicking out RMDs.

Skiing in the a.m., year end items in the afternoon. (Q1 marketing, CE, admin stuff, year end meetings w/ atty, CPA etc.)
I'll be mainly reactionary as far as sales go but with all of these carrier deadlines, I'll probably be a little more cognizant of where certain cases are in my pipeline....
